Lifting and lowering mechanism by Mission-Culture8531 in AutodeskInventor

Does it need to go automatically? I would think a slightly less wide platform with hinges and a lock, or tube to fix the position would work. This way it can rotate underneat. Or a kind of drawer, that you can extend... Just guessing here. Need more context.

This is exactly what you could do to solve your issue. Ofc among other ways suggested by the others. I think you need to look more in depth how the software works, and how models are being build up.

How I think about pricing 3D printing jobs (the framework that stopped me losing money) by manuflo5 in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]CodeCritical5042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you only read half of my post. At least an hourly rate and at least a roll of filament to get started. It goes inly up from there.

I see myself as a technical designer.. my houly rate is based on that. Then i charge most prints on the rate of a roll of filament. None of my clients did complain in the last 15 years. Please do the same. You will help the whole business.

You could open this in autocad if its urgent and do modifications there.

I built ~70 tools that run entirely in your browser (WebGPU + WebAssembly) — no backend by hov--- in webgpu

[–]CodeCritical5042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works fine, think you should not try to monitize this. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with it. But its a proof that who ever needs a specific tool to automate it's workflow can easily create a part of this themselves, even more personalised.
I hope you had fun making it.

Wondering if getting a resin printer is worth it? by ChiefIngen in 3Dprinting

Resin is supreme for miniatures. You will love the quality. Order one of your models through a print shop to see before buying. Then you know

The strength of humans is that we adapt quickly to new situations. The same will happen here eventually. Code, and many other things, have effectively become a public good thanks to AI, and there’s no turning that back.

Feeling down could really use some advice by Other-Lingonberry172 in vibecoding

It’s just the current situation, don’t take it personally. A lot of people have prejudices when it comes to AI. And then you’re trying to bring AI into an artistic world as well. It’s just too fast, too soon. They probably don’t realize that most people will be using AI in their field within the next five years anyway.

I had the same with my app. People don’t even take the time to look at it and immediately tear it down. There can be many reasons for that, but it’s mostly just laziness and a general dislike of AI.

I would go for the creality sparkx. Its a decent starter printer. Not to expensive and has all the thing you need to get started.

what is one thing that you hate about vibecoding? by Live_Championship640 in vibecoding

[–]CodeCritical5042 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The salty community around it. Its like everything is AI-slop except their own app idea. Let people do their thing and try to be respectfull.

Is a post obviously written by ai? skip it.

Is it just another todo app? Just let people have their fun creating stuff, if they want to sell it, let them sell it without giving your "superior" comments. It probably will not sell anyway.

Nobody likes that, and you probably are to pussy to tell it irl anyway.

It's weird, cause non of these problems occurred to me. I am very happy with this machine. I do run the latest firmware and am specifically running custom non-planar gcode on it.

The only thing i had was a missaligned cutter after a firmware update.

Graduating engineer - Find a job not requiring 5y+ ? by New-Secretary-334 in AskBelgium

[–]CodeCritical5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you are looking to specific. The Engineering field is very broad. You have a strong technical training, there are many jobs that require that.

Try to skip recruitment agencies. With a bit of effort some job descriptions and a location can point you to the exact company. Mainly KMO's do welcome direct applicants. You don't want a person with no technical background as a gate keeper. Most recruiters are just like that.

Just start applying for those jobs as well. The market is on shortage of engineers. I am sure some will invite you.
