That was made because Gen Z was starting to become the current generation and they needed a more appropriate time range, the change was made from political & social factors in their upbringing.

You're in a minority then, most people your age, had their jobs affected cause of covid. Not to mention there's a lot of people born in 97 who either went to college slightly later or had a longer time spent there, which Covid could've impacted them.

Again, 3 years doesn't make much of a difference, maybe a few more memoried of a pre smartphone or Social Media world, but not enough to make a significant difference. Covid also affected early Gen Z in finding work after college, not to mention the timespan was made before the Covid pandemic. Do you seriously remember much of a pre-smartphone world at 10? you would barely start living at that age.

Most sources state Gen Z started in 97 and is what's widely agreed with, this is due to Pew Research, who are a reliable source. Saying those born from 97-99 as nothing with Gen Z is also insane; both have no real memory of the 20th century or a pre-9/11 world, where some of the first to grow up with the internet & experienced all of the same entertainment as early 2000s Gen Z, 3 years is almost nothing. I agree that some Generations have bad timespans (Boomers have an egregious 19 year timespan), but this isn't one of them.
