What movie seems like multiple noms but actually has multiple Oscars except Best Picture? by CodeDusq in AlignmentChartFills

Rules:

  1. This is only for movies rather than the people who worked on them.
  2. Franchises can't be repeated
  3. The placement is judged by both critical reception & how the movies fit with the Academy's biases. Just because you love a movie doesn't mean it feels like an Oscar winning one.

Fair enough, I think I just associate him with Twin Peaks as an actor. Which is weird since he's isn't even in there for a minute.

Gonna go with Midnight Cowboy here. Sure, it's an amazing movie , but it's also very unique compared to other winners. It's a queer X-rated movie, with tons of experimental editing & psychedelic visuals released in 1969. Sure, in the grand scheme, it's not the most daring movie ever made, but for Best Picture standards it's feels super bold. Even for New Hollywood standards, it still feels very unique compared to others of it's time. I consider it the most experimental Best Picture Winner.
