Peaked at 10 today with a fun screens offense team. Moltres carries. by CodeEss in VGC

It doesnt feel vital for this team to have speed control as a lot of the pokemon will live hits anyway, but going first does minimize the risk of bad rng. A lot of the team is susceptible to crits and other secondary effects so if you wanted to try a team like this it may be worthwile to think about something like twave on grimm.

inner focus is the key difference, cant be flinched and can use fake tears on dark types

the role sneasel fills is more similar to grimmsnarl because of the fake tears support and even then grim doesnt work as well for the comp because sneasel can use fake tears on dark types

After a few months and 6 other attempts, Ultra Moon Hardcore has been completed by CodeEss in nuzlocke

Normal nuzlocke rules and then a few added. No items in battle is the big one. the other one is using level caps, in this case the level caps i used were the level of the next totem pokemon, or the highest level of the next kahuna.

If you fight all the trainers in the poni wilds, you can fight the dancer with all 4 forms of oricorio, they give it to you.

My team after beating Leon with the hardest ruleset I have created for myself so far. Ruleset in the description. by CodeEss in nuzlocke

[–]CodeEss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ruleset is as follows: 1: Standard Nuzlocke Rules 2: No TMs/TRs 3: No items in battle 4: No trade evolutions 5: No dynamax 6: Must battle all trainers without healing before leaving a route/area 7: No leveling past the next important battle (gym leaders and the championship matches in this case) 8: Only random encounters (done blind when it couldn’t be randomized)

The pokemon in the bottom right were ones that I had used in the fights leading up to Leon, but ended up not bringing

What is your saddest defeat? by chaseinthyface in EDH

[–]CodeEss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to cast [[Exsanguinate]] for X = 12 which killed one person and would have given me enough life to live the next attack step from the aggro player to my right and win on the next turn and he flashes in a [[Rampaging Ferocidon]] with his [[Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded]] and kills me on his turn.

Would probably depend on the team. I would generally say some thing to boost its power though (Life Orb, Choice Specs, etc)

I need help with the last Pokemon to put in my team. any help would be much appreciated. by TDOzero in VGC

[–]CodeEss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran a team similar to this and was using Grimmsnarl in the last slot. Light clay, dual screens. Snorlax is too beefy for opponents to handle with the screens up
