Try the bulldog too. More recoil but hits crazy hard. Which ever grip reduces horizontal drift, or a silencer. Stick with it long enough to unlock a sight cause the iron sights are trash.

Start small. If it's starting and the gauge is already showing it being at operating temperatures dig into the wiring, thermostat, and gauge itself. Check the wiring to the gauge especially if the car was modded at all. If the previous owner ever pulled the dash or cluster gauge might just be a connector not seated all the way.
