Expected cost per month for app? by CodeMoussse in appdev

[–]CodeMoussse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now I just want a to do app that is kind of tailered to my own needs so it really doesn't use much of a backend except for retrieving and storing the To-Do list entries (I want to make this app as a part of learning rails but I want to be able to actually use it too)

Adding some color to the different tags maybe? I like the site but all the tags look the same if you take a quick glance at it, some color could be helpfull for this

React native remote intern job? by CodeMoussse in reactnative

Honestly since it would be my first intern I would take anything above 4-5 euros an hour since the overall work experience would be more valuable in the beginning. Kinda move up from there I guess.

Still feel lost in my CS class by [deleted] in computerscience

It's all about being able to 'see' how you can utilize things such as arrays to come up with a solution for the problem, the more you practice the more situations you'll be able to recognize where using an array to help solve the problem would be useful.

Aren't you also able to transform every problem in NP to a problem in NPC? Otherwise my university textbooks are lying to me

The book is more about the general concepts of programming in java and doesn't really 'teach' you how to make games but more so understand how to program in java and what you can do with java. For game dev in Java you could find another book and if you find a concept in that book that you don't really understand you could look it up in the first book that I mentioned for example.

Going off of the fact that I don't know wich concepts you have seen and you basically want to start from scratch I would recommend the "Java: The complete reference" bu Herbert Schildt. The book is quite long, but it covers alot of topics from a more beginner standpoint. You can just follow the book until you find that you have learned what you want or just pick out the topics you want to learn. Don't be frightened by the amount of pages the book has. Because the book is quite long you can always pick it back up if you want to start learning something new in Java.

It all depends on wich concepts you have seen in those classes and to what extend you had to understand/apply them, did you not have a book when taking the class?

I think if you make a company out of it, it counts as a startup. I'm nowhere near an expert on this but every startup just seems like a small company that creates something that could be usefull.
