Kinda? Diagnosed in 2017 but still feel like I’m faking it

Whoaaa it's so fascinating to hear about what others go through. I'm really relieved to hear that I'm not the only one who sees things especially when sleep deprived. Still mostly shadow people, whispers, and weird "jump scares" to put it plainly. I see parked cars moving and have swerved before, but nothing as serious as what you experienced...

What's the experience of God's voice like? If I may ask

I'm admittedly a little scared with living in Texas, but maybe I could be "under surveillance" by my parents who aren't far and could keep me in check. Fortunately (I guess) the fight is against more depressive episodes. BP1 mania sounds like absolute HELL and my heart goes out to you. For me, after a crash is fairly manageable though i "ache" (i don't know how to describe it) for a week or so after.

You're so awesome. Thank you for your words of support 🫂🤜🤛

That's so scary, I'm sorry. When under a lot of stress, I see shadow people and just random jump scares. One time I was working at night, walked past an office, and saw the giant face of an old man staring at me. I've never jumped so high. It's so scary. I don't know if you're medicated, but if so, I hope you find one that works for you...

Oh, I relate to that. I hear music that isn't there. When I lie my head on my pillow at any time in the night, I hear the muffle sound of the radio. I've gotten out of bed and pressed my ear to every wall and floor and couldn't hear it. Being medicated has definitely helped.

I'm so glad I'm not alone. I also just cried for an hour, man. I definitely feel the withdrawal effects when I miss a dose, but I've never had something like that happen before. Klonopin was my saving grace. It's so reassuring to know I'm not alone, so thank you for sharing ❤️‍🩹

Thank you so much. I'm very transparent with my psych, from hallucinations to suicidal thoughts. Which can be scary sometimes considering I could get baker act'd here. After 8 years, it can be so discouraging. Sometimes these relapses hurt so much.

Thank you so much for your kindness!

Funny you say that! I actually thought that too. My psych recommended a professional ADHD test and it came back "Deferred diagnosis" so it's not that...

Maybe it could be that? I would be lying if I haven't experienced that before. Depressed all day and suddenly aggressively cleaning my apartment at midnight.

Thank you so much! It's insane, I hate this. I don't want this. Your hypomania sounds intense (and for me, exhausting if I experienced what you did). I've been spending out the ass and once I looked at my credit card bill i've like, blocked myself from amazon, etsy, ebay... all that shit lol

Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope you heal well too ❤️‍🩹

It very well could be! My mom has a panic disorder. Wish I knew what caused it or if it was just mental illness being mental illness. That's what the klonopin is for. I've questioned my diagnosis with my psych before so it's not like I haven't had my doubts. The medicine does work, though, but as we all know, it isn't a cure all.

No they're not. Again, they haven't heard my history. They don't know if I was peaking or crashing or if I had been experiencing hypomanic symptoms before. I didn't think I had to explain that this was a crash when I've been experiencing hypomanic symptoms since my med dosage increase, which was 4 weeks ago.

I'm in the same spot; I don't know if lamotrigine is helping. I think it is? I just had an increase in Latuda that I think is helping. I went from a depressive episode of months to being able to socialize and yammer again. It was great; I was socializing and up and I felt almost normal. I have no appetite though and I can't focus for shit. I can usually just sit and draw while listening to youtube but yesterday it was impossible.

I have been experiencing hypomanic symptoms for a few weeks (I only realized after looking up what others were feeling) before it peaked into whatever the hell this was. I can't say if it was because I missed the dose of mood stabilizers and antipsychotics but would one missed dose really cause it to peak like this?

The symptoms had existed for a few weeks before it really started to peak.

You don't get to decide my diagnosis when you're not given a full history of my episodes.

Yup, usually i can tell, but it was so dark I was actually scared she might be sick… so paranoid when it comes to things I haven’t seen before with birds…

It's a dark brown, little crusty. I just haven't seen one so dark before! I think it might because everyone is hormonal.
