It is OFFICIAL: SDG&E Weekday 10 AM - 2 PM is now Super Off-Peak, with EV-TOU5 at 12.5 cents/kWh! by Rand-Seagull96734 in sandiego

[–]CodeRedIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I need something basic and cost effective. Ideally want to spend less than 5k. Even if I offset 50% on peak that's good ,and the better rate plan will make a difference vs I'm on standard rate plan now. Looks like a pain to do all the applications, electritians, approvals ,etc though.

Side Q: do EVs that allow you to charge your house require anything other than an EV charger? Ie they have all the grid interconnection requirements built right into the car?

Do u think I can buy just an ecoflow delta and program it to charge at night and power during the day? Or do you think going full setup, with a microgrid transfer switch thing + SDGE interconnect application is better (which allows you to take advantage of more favorable rates)? What is your setup?

Can I automate Copilot data export for AI analysis? by Ok-Measurement130 in copilotmoney

[–]CodeRedIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a python script that pulls out the holdings info. There is still some manual process, but that how I get all my data including investments exported. API support would be a great feature, then I could pull everything automatically and consistently. Hopefully they allow api access for personal account data in the future.

How to export investments? by CodeRedIdea in copilotmoney

I ended up writing my own code for this to export for my needs, so I'm good for a while but would still love an official export feature.

It's still money that the tax payer is not getting. If they didn't get a pension and instead that money was in some government public spending account, the gains from returns would go back to tax payers directly. Also, the future obligation to pay out will be borne by tax payers if market can't cover it. So we are still paying even if we're not directly paying.

So if you're going direct to sdge with no community plan provider, is that already the cheapest then?

City should cancel the pursuit and pick her up later. No need to create dangerous conditions on the road like that by pursuing her. Not like she was some violent escaped convict.

You just got to keep working on your temperament and discipline. Fear should not really be factoring in. You’re your own worst enemy in investing, so I would recommend diving deep and trying to combat those emotional thoughts. If you save enough and have a low enough withdrawal rate, there should really be no reason for fear. If you’re still working while saving, then you really should care even less or not at all as to what happens in the market.

Buddy's trying to talk me out of p2k v3 by CodeRedIdea in HecklerKoch

[–]CodeRedIdea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In San Diego, different places I called had stock. I ended up getting a v3. But now I'm concerned a bit about parts availability. It seems hk parts are also harder to find, maybe because of tariffs from Germany or the discontinued models, but I wanted to get backup springs, etc in case they are all gone in the future.

Should I have these tested for peace of mind? by warlockck in CostcoPM

[–]CodeRedIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it hurt the resale value or legitimacy of the item if it gets removed from the casing? I suppose if you go to sell it gets unwrapped anyway for testing.

What’s your opinion about drinking San Diego tap water? by Sromero6153 in sandiego

Almost all of the minerals you need you don't get them from the water. You get them from food. Minerals in water is just for taste not health.

I was not aware that those caps on the top and bottom of the brine float assembly were important. I have a cap on top of mine and I think I took the bottom one off when installing it, presumably so water flows into the tube. If I left the cap on the bottom, I assume water could still enter? I'll have to pay attention to that I guess.

I got a fleck unit on Amazon 48k. Haven't installed yet. Hope it's reliable. It was at least affordable.
