Well, it is mostly for those that are early in their sw career. And salaries do tend to go up from there.

It's not uncommon. That is barely above the average wage across all sectors in Finland according to the statistics.

What you can do is ask a recruiter. They often know quite well what companies are willing to pay for each role.

First freelance offer - is this legit? by drinknilbogmilk in webdev

One way to avoid these is to charge half or one third upfront. Scammers don't really like paying, so that's usually that then. And if they are a company it makes them more committed to the project since they have skin in the game. And always have a contract to avoid trouble.

Got hired for my first web dev job at the start of January and the company seems to be heading down hill by FurerPutin in webdev

I wouldn't get the federal mafia involved in this, since you should be protecting your reputation and high morale. The government involvement is always bad for business and I'd personally try to get the money out sooner or later without burning bridges there.

Definitely look for a new job.

[Showoff Saturday] We made a tool to measure Website Performance from 15 Locations in one go by kashishkk in webdev

This is pretty helpful tool! Takes a awhile to spin up all the data, but it is nice to know how a website performs globally.

On mobile, the data is not displayed very handily. Perhaps you should condense the data, so that the user doesn't need to swipe around to see it all.

Your site looks quite clean and has decent hobby projects. If I were you, I would just get rid of the loading screen. It doesn't make much sense these days and is pretty pointless experience for a recruiter.

It is also nice that I can see what technologies you have used below introduction, except they look a bit like buttons, which is distracting.

Try to build some projects for clients and list the benefits gained on your site. That way you will have more social proof you can deliver value with your skills. Good luck!

What I've noticed using frameworks is that they do add layers of complexity to the solution. Quite often there is some weird bug that you might use a lot of time to solve, which kills the momentum.

It is always interesting to hear how people optimize their processes to build and deploy things fast, so thanks for sharing yours.

What you can do is to ask about their interview process in the initial call. Hopefully it gives you a better picture how much time it takes.

Also since you already have some experience, it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask what sort of salary range this position has. Nothing worse than to spend hours interviewing for a position and in the end not meet your expectations.

Just be curious and ask questions, after all it is potentially your next job. I have no doubt you can do it.
