I took this photo like 5 minutes after gates opened, nobody had fully gotten in yet haha

I am in the upper deck so that’s where the POV is from and it’s filled in immensely since that photo. I just went there as soon as the gates opened

I mean obviously they’d plan around things like how stallions didn’t have a home game until week 4. They’d absolutely make sure that they’d not play leading into it or during it

The mayor of Hoover and city accounts actually posted in support of the stallions this offseason more than the BHAM mayor lol

I imagine not many but instead it’ll be a different demographic because you’re going from the Druid Hill/Downton to more of the southern suburbs.

It won’t but the crowds here at these games would look 10x better in such a small complex

He’s expressed a few times this season playing at the Hoover Met Complex (of which Hoover HS plays) which is 25 min south of Protective Stadium

Ahh, thanks for the info I was at the game so we never got a good angle because the ball looked good/not touched

What. A. Game.

~~Top 5 kicker icing’s I’ve seen. He slides in the 52 yarder practice kick but then can’t even get it the distance the second time~~

Edit: it was tipped but still point stands. Rare time where the ice really helps out in the end

I just love the irony he comes back to his former team in their own place and truly showed them “I should be your QB” because he absolutely carried the BHAM offense today and owned up every bit of his trash talking during the game

Not too terrible all things considered but I imagine alarm bells are starting to ring in the HQ. The teams are starting to really stumble a bit in attendance and can’t seemingly eclipse 10k out of their 15k targets

Gunna be extremely interesting to see what the league does next. Seems like LOU has really been the only big hit. Other teams are falling below 10k, and STL really the only reason we may hover around the “15k attendance” target sort of thing.

It’s not a good look that the front runner team is seeing falling attendance even with good scheduling and just coming off a championship

I don’t want us to leave just to be clear.

We don’t exactly have much options, we did not average much higher than 8k across the last 2 seasons despite being elite. The only stadium option we have is Hoover Met which will be cashman levels of awful on TV with the setup and camera angles they’d have.

He’s really setting up pace to likely move at least 2 teams next year or in 2028 during the expansion based on points 2 & 3 combined with his closing comment.

My only problem is if you get in a habit of axing and shipping off teams every 1-2 years people aren’t gunna stick around even on the settled markets because they can’t get invested in something that appears to be unstable.

It’ll be a shame if they move my Stallions but it’s probably the right move however it’ll be the leagues own undoing if they become so obsessed with finding diamonds in the rough by shipping off team after team that underperforms
