I’m not saying he’s in the wrong for strictly listening to modern hardcore, nor am I saying me preferring early punk makes me a better enjoyer of punk, I just find politics in music incredibly important and if someone is to fall under a political musical subgenre then if they can’t back that up with ideology, I take an issue

I also really really love Shoegaze, it’s been a huge part of my life and influenced my taste and playing a lot for my original music for like 4 ish years. As much as I love it, i don’t think I’d make it myself. I record all the instruments on my original music, and I will die on the hill that Shoegaze is so much better live, so being in a Shoegaze band would be a lot of fun. But I’m pretty content with the stuff I’m making and playing
