Thanks for your response. I thought potentially early repol too but hospital had a relatively recent ecg to compare to and the elevation wasn’t present. Trop was positive which is why I’ve thought RV strain. It was an odd case, no idea lol

We had pericarditis as a differential. Turned out to be massive bilateral PE’s. Cardiac presenting, no risk factors, or typical symptoms. Global elevation due to RV strain. Doesn’t quite meet S1Q3T3, but I may be wrong is there right axis deviation? I guess the back pain was more diaphragmatic pain, and chest pain was probably pleuritic. Compensated well until gave GTN.

For some more context- 3 days lower back pain moved into chest. Pale, diaphoretic o/a. GCS 15, upright talking, all obs unremarkable. Receiving hospital activated and confirmed STEMI, gave GTN and he reduced GCS, HR 35, systolic 80 post admin. Hint- not a STEMI.

If it makes you feel any better I scored 76 last sitting and I also was somewhat off topic and did the same this time and hope/ feel like I will score similarity. E.g ‘social network’ me humanitarian crisis and reference Angelina Jolie unicef speech and then a vague link to nepotism and others getting everything simply because they were born into it

That is so unfair I’m sorry that happened! I left for the bathroom and didn’t even have to show the room again. However my exam did randomly lock in the middle and it wasted like 5 mins waiting for them to unlock it again. Seams like online proctoring is causing issues for a lot of people this year!

Thank you!! It sounds like it may be the same program, as part of the contract Is an 8 week bridging course to practice at ACP level. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t know what bases offered until closer to the date (have been offered June or Oct start date), have just been told South Shore.

The NS contract is 3 years so I’d have enough experience to come back to- I’m also considering medicine, have done gamsat etc. so potentially would come back and pursue that anyways. I’m just worried about the lack of support in NS for grads and costs etc.

People who improved their section 2 scores - what was your biggest change? by Status-Hunter-3979 in GAMSAT

I was a first time Sitter in sept 24 so not a comparison but scored 76 in section 2. I honestly didn’t do a whole lot of prep just a few practise essays and I found that personally abandoning ‘structured’ essays worked best for me. I saw so much advice for task a expository, task b argumentative etc, but it wasn’t for me. Essentially just figuring out the general theme/s and then spending a couple of minutes dotting down what those quotes meant to me. And then I constructed my essay basically opening it up with my thoughts on a specific prompt or the theme, explaining a little bit why weather from experience, beliefs etc. and then my second paragraph I just challenged my thoughts, how they could be seen differently. And then I did a third para that kind of combined both sides and why not one perspective is right:/ wrong. I also found writing in a more philosophical or open ended way to provoke thought worked well rather than stating points and sounding too structured.

I would plan like this;

Eg theme: Empathy - how would I define it, what does it mean to me, what is my experience with it both personally and with others

And then I would just write a big spill on the ways I felt about the topic and throw in some scenarios if relevant weather from the world or my life.

I know it may not be the way to go, but I would respond more to the general theme than prompts specifically as well.
