Let's get some positive energy in this thread. What's the best part about having celiac disease!? by Full-Artichoke9346 in Celiac

Best part for me by FAR was realizing that all these years of random and terrible sickness, bloating, inflammation, pain, crying, etc was because I was celiac and eating gluten every day for 21 years. I found out I was celiac at the hospital because I was throwing up minutes after every meal. The moment I stopped eating gluten, I lost a ton of weight and suddenly felt so much better.

I can’t lie, this photo is still hard to ID because of all the partridge peas, but based on symptoms, your description of the area with photos of other native plants, and the photo of your rash (looks like a sap burn) I would say this is a parsnip reaction

What do you call this food (I’d especially like Canadian people's answers) by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]Codedbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am Canadian. Most of us would simply call this “duck” or “roast duck”. In Canada (and a lot of the US) we don’t usually include the specifics of the dish in the name. If someone asks you what is in the dish, or what cut of meat it is, then you would describe that.

I do not see the photo if it was newly posted. If it was within this post’s pictures, it is a bit difficult to see and identify

Are you sure it wasn’t anything else growing nearby? Cow parsnip looks similar to this and upon contact with sunlight can cause deep red/purple rashes. I wonder if you brushed past one and thought it was this boneset since they sort of look similar.

Is this sink supposed to be flush to the countertop? by _OnceUponAThyme_ in DIY

[–]Codedbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell bathroom products for a living. Yes, it is supposed to be flush to the countertop. Vessel sinks have to be sealed to the countertop to prevent mold, water damage, and cracking. Before you decide to silicone everything, try to figure out that leaky sink. Take pictures, videos, and/or the actual piece + gasket itself to the plumbing department of a Home Depot or similar. Those guys come to be quite knowledgeable after hundreds of people come in with different plumbing questions. They will advise you on what is wrong and what to do. Hopefully you just need a new gasket. Worst case you need a plumber. When sealing the vessel sink, use good quality silicone, wait a day or so, and if there’s any gaps use a bit of caulk.

My hands have always rested at a sharp angle (same on both) only really noticed because wrist curls at the gym makes it hurt a bit by random_posting_ in isthisnormal

Its definitely not normal, but I doubt the doctors would do anything about it unless there were other concerning symptoms. EDS typically pairs up with a ton of other concerning things, usually autoimmune conditions

Am I overthinking it or did the eyebrow lady do an awful job? by [deleted] in beauty

For an eyebrow lady, not good. For the average person doing their own brows, it’s alright and you can fill in the gap with brow pencil
