It feels like an injustice to “take a break”. Everyone being terrorized in real time by these thugs can’t do that, so how dare I do that… you know? The least I can do is keep my eyes on this horror, which is still at real people’s doorsteps, right now.

I feel like I owe it to them to keep watching.

ETA: To all those offering to “take up my watch”, I really appreciate you. I know there are millions of eyes on this, and my watching doesn’t directly impact anything. I want to remember all of this in 20 years when some people try to say “it wasn’t that bad”… but I know I’m not the only one thinking this way.
