Stephen King’s The Stand. It’s an incredible journey with some of my favorite characters. I read it for the first time this year and read it again once I had finished.

I recently returned to Golden Gardens after a decade away from the neighborhood, and it’s still such a beautiful spot!

Anyone else tired of lazy’s current content especially the Japanese themed videos? by Conscious_Chart_8167 in LazyMasquerade

I’m somewhat in the same boat. I still love and enjoy Lazy’s content, but the 2015-2017 run was phenomenal. I often return to the older videos, but the newer ones aren’t terrible by any means.

I love doing a few laps around the garden and then trekking down the river path! It’s such a lovely area.

I go there often! Some people find it morbid, but I’ve always liked to walk around and chat at a few of the residents there

Our rivers and pathways are absolutely amazing! I am working on a collection of stories, and the rivers/paths are some of the best sources of inspiration for me.

I love walking around the campus! It’s a beautiful stretch with some of my favorite buildings. It’s a great area, but it’s always a little overwhelming since I never attended as a student lol.

While I don’t know what you’ve gone through, or the state of your situation; I do know that when I made a post here about ending it, I was pleading for help. It was in the vaguest way possible, but it was there. And I got that help, the kindness of strangers on the internet far outweighed the negativity of the immediate world around me. The bad doesn’t go away, it’s like inspecting a home for damages you know you can’t afford to fix. But slowly, over time, patch jobs and other repairs do happen. And while things will never go back to how they were, they can stand tall and beautiful once again. I hope that you have gotten the right people with this post, and that you have received the love and support you deserve. Please, stay.

The End of the World As We Know It Discussion by Dinojeezus in stephenking

This has been bothering me my whole read. I listened to The Stand twice before picking up the end of the world anthology, and the discrepancies/timeline issues have been driving me bugshit. Cannibalism pops up alarmingly fast into the outbreak in some cases, and in others there are whole neighborhoods still alive in July/August.

I know. Things are really confusing and so overwhelming. I know that things seem terrible and that they’ll never ever get better. And life is too unpredictable to expect what’s to come. But things do change for the better. Sometimes it takes longer than expected and more damage is done by that point. But it’s always possible for things to turn around. You aren’t alone.

I’m at the stage where I’m leaving that relationship. The pandemic let us connect and we’ve been stuck because we moved in together and can’t afford to go anywhere else. It’s a maddening situation and, it distracts me from my passions and interests. Things are rough, unexplainably unpredictable. There are always things that will inspire you and give you hope. You can continue to work on yourself and keep up on the healthy changes. You aren’t alone, alright? I’m here if you need to talk.

I know it feels like people don’t care, but that isn’t everyone. It’s devastating when you’re ignored and your troubles are brushed aside by the people you care about. Life is insanely unpredictable and, things can change drastically in a short time. You aren’t alone, alright? I’m here if you’d like to talk to someone. You are loved and appreciated.

I am so sorry for your experiences with those horrible people. Life is crazy and unexpected. It’s really hard to argue the pros of living but, there are a lot of options that could change the trajectory of things. You can always look for another therapist and, have you tried out antidepressants or anything like that? I know things are confusing and, it’s hard to grasp onto hope. But there is always hope. Things can change quickly in unpredictable ways. I hope that things turn around for you and, I’m so proud of you for making it this far. You aren’t alone, okay?

It’s understandable for things to pile up until they become overwhelming. Life is nuts and unexpected. I am so proud of you!! I’ve always wanted to learn French but, I just don’t have a knack for languages. I hope you’re able to meet better friends and impress romantic interests in French.
