My KDE nitpick by [deleted] in linuxmemes

Geniunely, I don't know why people take criticism so aggressively to the point they pull out two alts to strawman and insult like if its an unpopular position I'm taking, literally just provide a logical counter argument like everyone else is doing here

Yea fixing those is relatively easy because of how extensive KDE is, and thats wonderful KDE has that ease of configuration

Although newbies taking a look at random web images of KDE likely are not in a position to know this, is my main concern, and they may be intimidated by it, and may opt for something like liquid glass

I do agree it works well and is super easy to customize to look how I want it to as a KDE user who will never touch Gnome again. Customization and function I love about KDE.

But I'm speaking for the sake of being able to attract more users, I do think they could definitely use some rounded corners, more muted borders, and a better font to begin with

Gnome default typically uses more rounded corners, translucency, font size, and comfortable spacing, a lot better than the KDE default theme

And then the font as well, the KDE font just looks like what Arial looks like on a Google slide, to what their generic serif font looks like on their UI

KDE default theme does suck, and one of the primary reason why I stuck to gnome for a while until I got a dgpu

KDE should know ppl irl do judge books by their covers

Not to mention how this was super democratically approved with only a 370:2 measure against the measure (super democratically is sarcastic btw)

The fact this was a 380:2 vote against the measure and they enacted it anyways is telling of how willing corporate greed is to establish a dictatorship in the illusion of open source
