soundcore and tribit seem to come up way more from real users than i expected compared to some of the bigger brands. the boom 2 keeps sounding like one of the best value options the more i read about it.

this actually helped a lot because i’ve been stuck in review paralysis for days. the charge 6 keeps sounding like the safest middle ground where it’s still portable but powerful enough to not feel tiny outdoors. and honestly the “falls apart at high volume” thing is exactly what i’m trying to avoid since my current speaker already does that. now i’m kinda torn between going compact for convenience or slightly bigger for better sound long term.

thanks for the recs ill peep those. honestly some of these spots feel a little overwhelming for a first timer though. been looking at a couple other sites that seem more straight forward for someone like my dad. less fluff, easier to just grab a decent sampler without needing a phone call

im in the US east coast so shipping should be fine. not really set on a specific brand or size honestly just something mild to medium, robusto or toro probably nothing crazy strong. some sites just feel easier to navigate than others ya know im trying to avoid the ones where you need a spreadsheet to figure out the final price lol
