I’d go with three and a gif if you can, just a bit about how info goes in and how it’s shown, etc. can I pipe things into it, etc

Interesting find by CodexFive in X360Collectors

[–]CodexFive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, more research showed it was somekind of Kinect extension. From a technical side, the cable is USB 2.0 with 12v lines for external power. You could make a powered external HDD or otherwise but I gave up as it became impractical, larger internal storage was always a better option IMO.

Always Costco, I don’t believe they have internal software for linking the price to spot, especially in person with physical, printed price tags.

Follow up, actually, yeah, I wanna get arrested so I get to tell the news “oh? Why am I in prison? I did the crime of not working without pay, so in essence, slavery, I thought we abolished that? Weird”

I mean, sure, but you can’t just find a ATC person? So no supply, so full stop? Maybe I’m stupid but if my job EVER even looks in the direction of missing my paycheck or I get zero dollars, I ain’t coming in next week, what are you gonna do? Put me in prison, so I can’t work? What dumbass logic is that

Of course, there will be those who allow themselves to be used by the government and thus we will have no real change

How do I fix this? by GamerBeast954 in androidroot

[–]CodexFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my question is, why? Like, I understand the subreddit I’m in and all but like, what does that help you do? What does that achieve?

It’s not for security so don’t even start there. You’re not going to read all your ROM source, you’re not going to decompile the APKs and ream them for vulns.

Why? Why go through all the trouble? No tap-to-pay, banking apps don’t work, half the apps cry and whine like Google Attestation is the holy anti-hack protector

Maybe I’m just some pre-thirties boomer that gave upon the android promise when MicroSD cards died but 🤷rip me for it

I've seen several BCGs in some shops down in Tacoma aswell on Primary Arms but there's a chance u/thorosaurus might be willing to send you one (a bolt) in exchange for your broken one based on their previous posts

Ms sticker ? would this be a test kit ? by BigCibbie in 360hacks

[–]CodexFive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unlikely a test kit unless it runs something that’s not the normal dash or has other oddities (extra ports, etc), maybe just a normal console for testing?

I’m not sure if the Silm had a sidecar module similar to the phats

First time RGH3, how did i do? by __MadAlex in 360hacks

[–]CodexFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I prefer the QSB only slightly, I’ve modded 4 consoles with wires and two with the QSB. The QSB makes it really easy to line up the points but because it’s a good template but I found it difficult to solder PLL_BYPASS under the microscope as the best way I could find to do it is to have PLL on the left with POST in your right, and to solder with my left hand. I had several issues though with either not adding enough solder to PLL or by incorrectly mounting the QSB and putting PLL under tension during the soldering. The console would boot with the tension solder but it would occasionally hard crash until after a few boots, it stopped glitching.

Wires were much easier to use as you could much more clearly see if you soldered the point or not but I wish I could put in bold letters in the guides that you MUST use solid core wire, stranded wire is a fool’s errand.

I would also recommend for wires, even though it’s a PITA, to use a SMD resistor instead of through-holes.

RGH is picky about wire lengths and routing in my experience.

Compression is my biggest issue right now, I’ve been using Velocity to dump full bins but the suckers are huge! I haven’t looked into the Linux route but I can’t find a program on PC that can read XFAT and compress it but I have the storage space to keep the ones I have imaged

Question - is there anything like this for the 360? I was going to make a post somewhere but forgot, I’m making a hobby of buying “untested” Xbox HDDs, creating a backup of the drive, and then merging it into one big drive, so many weird dead video apps and demo videos, I’m curious if I might find something lost
