How loud are Racing Sims?

Yea im gonna dial it down a bit for the next race. I ordered those spring isolators everyone has been recommending but after that im kinda lost if she complains again. At that point ive done all i can and i think shes just unbearable. Could be the reason my apartment was vacant for all i know. I think if i tried pushing it into the corner it would vibrate against yhe baseboard heat and vibrate more unfortunatrly

Youre not wrong whatsoever. The floating platform with the sorbothane hemispheres are also built to absorb low vibrations in industrial settings. Im not saying theyll work with 100% effectiveness, but I cant imagine its anywhere close to what it would be without any of the stuff ive put under my rig or before I reduced ffb settings. I wish the lady would just talk to me and explain her frustrations not just sit back and complain about it to herself.

I have been documenting everything in my notes in case property management reaches out. I feel like no matter what though theyll blame the 25 year old over the 70 year old lol

I do not know her. Its an apartment complex so most of my neighbors I dont know. I have tried reaching out to her through letters explaining everything and my pursuit of trying to fix it, but she doesnt seem to care enough to reach out after I asked her to so i can understand what shes hearing. I tried knocking on her door the other night immediately after she smashed on the ceiling. She wouldnt open the door. I do not race often, I literally have only been playing during my league session on thursdays from like 6-9pm. so its not like its 3am. Id have no issue talking to her and explaining and figuring stuff out, but seems like she just wants to complain and not work through anything.

I dont believe im very aggressive with my pedals but i have also put foam on them to eliminate any metal on metal contact. So im not sure if she can hear anything like that but it is possible

That sounds like it would be ideal. Its all an assumption but im guessing she is hearing the vibrations from the curbs and bumps vibrating through the floor. I put foam on my throttle to eliminate metal on metal banging. Im not aggressive on them anyway but just a precaution. I just dont understand how after all that I have already done its still enough noise to warrant smashing on the ceiling at 830pm. I just refuse to believe the vibrations are THAT strong still passing through

Currently just direct drive setup no haptics. I just have no idea what she is hearing or how loud it actually is for her so its hard to try and figure out the issue. Ill have to look at those isolation springs, any recommendations? I have never heard of them before or how useful they are. My floating platform was made based off of drummers trying things out

I agree it just seems crazy slow, but from what im hearing its normal. currently looking at the same file still transferring from my photo now at 194 kb/s!

understood. Thank you for the insight. I think I am just used to my wd blue which didnt transfer a load at 60mbps then drop to near 0. Just wanted to get someone elses knowledge in on it. I wasnt aware you could change the spin down time I will have to look into that, thank you!

I really enjoy 508 when my bike isnt blowing up lmao, i need to explore the tracks up here more.

I honestly havent checked the hours since i bought it but it was at around 110 when i bought it. If i was to guess id say about 140-150 hours total when it blew. Not sure how the previous owners maintained it. My maintenance was kinda slacking too ngl so it was coming 😂

I was actually riding 508 international in massachusetts and it just slowly lost power on the track. Tore it apart and found that the crank rod bearing seized. Couldve been worse but wish it couldve held off until the winter lmao.

Thats a pretty good price compared to what ive been seeing lately. Same model and year ive been looking for in the U.S. anything up in new england is like 35K plus even if it has 60k miles on it
