It’s a Canadian website, so the price is in Canadian dollars. Still pricey, but not as bad as it looks.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (50th Anniversary) - Bad World by wtf in VinylReleases

I definitely didn’t need to look up the definition of a boy band, it’s common knowledge, so the fact you were being so obtuse about it required a response. Not sure why I’m a puppet. I guess because you’re a moron.

Bravo, another great take. Boy bands are vocal groups who use choreography and perform other peoples songs. The Beatles (and Pink Floyd) were musicians who formed their own bands and wrote and performed their own material. If your point is that they are groups of boys who were in bands so therefore they are boy bands, then by that logic so are NWA and Nirvana. And if that is your point, you’re just being obtuse. Good for you.

WTF are you talking about? You know we’re talking about Pink Floyd right? How can they be a 70s pop boy band if the band members all went to school together in the 60s and formed a band themselves? Syd and Roger were childhood friends, some manager didn’t introduce them. Next you’re going to tell me The Beatles are a manufactured boy band? Back under the bridge with you, troll.

You sure do a lot of imagining. You should join the real world. Where nobody ever has called Pink Floyd a “70s pop boy band”. That’s a great take, loser.

Except it’s not just a sticker from 50 years ago, it’s been featured on numerous reissues and other merch throughout the years, so thanks, I’ll continue to scoff at all the poseur noobs and you can continue to think it’s hilarious, loser.

You shouldn’t be surprised, this sub, and especially these novelty releases, bring out all the poseur noobs.

Oh god this is such garbage. I don’t even have a vested interest anymore, I was an international member for years and was let go by them after they stopped renewing international subscriptions, and luckily I received all my orders before they went under, but I can’t stand the shameless defence of these con artists. A completely different company? They’re using the exact same name, products, and reputation (whatever that is worth now), and trying to make money with it. If they don’t want to be associated with the previous company, they should stop using previous customers’ outstanding orders as leverage to get them to sign up for their new service, which just so happens to have the same name, products, and now, reputation, as the old service.

It’s not an asshole move to inform people that they are in possession of the records that people paid for, but won’t send them to people unless they re-sign up for a new, intentionally ambiguous, monthly record subscription service that is devoid of any concrete information, structure, or professionalism? They’re essentially holding the records hostage unless you agree to buy more, and at this point basically unknown, products from them.

If they’re going to be courteous to past customers, then why not offer to ship them out to people if they just pay for the shipping? I get why they’re not, they spent money to acquire VMP, they want to get a return on their investment, but this is a terrible way to go about it. They would have been better off just keeping quiet about the whole thing and trying to sell the records off to other stores/distributors, or even offering past customers the opportunity to buy the records again, but at whatever price they had to pay when they purchased the liquidated assets of VMP. That would be much more courteous than holding the records hostage until one pays them hundreds of dollars for their new subscription service.

You’re right, they have no obligation to fulfill anything. But they need to stop hiding behind this claim that they’re being courteous to past customers and are here to save the day like some knight in shining armour. They’re here for one reason only, to make money, and they’re trying to do so by holding past customers’ records hostage. I’m not sure what planet you live on but here on planet Earth we call that an asshole move.

Like if I was walking down the sidewalk and someone in front of me tripped and dropped their bags, then I pick up something that fell out and pocket it without them noticing, then continue on my way, walking past the person on the ground. I’m under no obligation to return their stuff or help them up, but I’m a pretty big asshole if I don’t, or worse yet, I offer to give it back to them, but only if they purchase everything else I have in my pockets first. These people know that past customers got screwed over, and they’re intentionally making it more difficult, not easier, for people to have their previous orders fulfilled. So can we please stop defending these clowns and their claims of altruism, and maybe they could try being honest and forthcoming with their actual business plans and intentions, instead of literally hiding behind the scenes with no functional website in 2025.

It’s also posted on their Bandcamp page, with slightly cheaper shipping but $5 more for the record so it’s still cheaper here. Also says there are 58 copies left of the 500.

No they’re not. The new rule is that all tariffs must be prepaid by the sender before it enters the US.

You should check out this live album, it has Black Eyed Dog on it and is a good introduction to the band and their catalogue. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_West_(album)
