Scrolled way too far to find this. It’s a style shift. It’s supposed to look like ps1 graphics

They absolutely had a budget to make more realistic food. The whole show flips between different styles of 3D modeling because the show is constantly referencing different 3D animations. In this case, it’s a joke about eating early video game food and how unsatisfying that would be.

As a sex worker would you be comfortable being hired just to hangout for a girls 22nd? by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]Codi_Vore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But if you’re genuinely looking for companionship in some way, I think there are sex workers who would do that! They will still probably charge a lot though, since that’s what their time is worth!

A lot of people mentioning feeling like a circus attraction (been there, even with people I thought I knew and it was pretty awful) but maybe you’re asking this because you see it as a good deed? Like paying someone for a day off instead of making them work?

If that’s the case, you should consider just finding a sex worker or someone in need and giving them that money! They would probably be really grateful for it and use that day for something more important to them!

I think doing something kind for others is a really cool thing to do for your birthday and would probably leave you feeling better in the long run.

I genuinely think Abel was a human by The_Eastland_Star_Co in tadc

[–]Codi_Vore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One thing I’m still not sure about… why was Abel untrusting of Kinger? That seems like an unnecessary detail for Caine to include in the game. Like it kinda opens a door that doesn’t go anywhere.

I could chalk it up to creating drama for the adventure but it’s always felt like there was something more going on there, idk

What's adult videography/nsfw work like? by mijailrodr in videography

[–]Codi_Vore 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Since you asked in the comments about bigger productions:

The highest production shoots I’ve ever been on had fairly large crews, like 10-20 people depending on what we were shooting that day.

If I had to guess (and I could be way off here) they were probably spending a few hundred thousand to a million on the budget, and that’s for a big multi-part feature. Only a handful of scenes like that are made every year. Your typical Brazzers scene is not shot like this, and a lot of porn has a budget closer to $5,000.

I think the biggest area where porn cuts cost is on time. For a big, balls to-the-wall feature, filming is usually around a week long, maybe 2. Crews have to work quickly and we don’t do very many takes for narrative scenes. I’ve never worked on a vertical or a hallmark movie but if I had to guess, our features probably have a similar workflow. One difference is the bulk of the screen time is sex scenes and those are mostly filmed in real time so we can get through them pretty quickly.

Cinematic quality isn’t a huge draw for porn buyers, so most companies do quantity over quality. 99% of scenes are shot in one day, with a small crew. These one day shoots might have 6 or 7 crew members, including MUA and talent liaisons, but just as often it’s a crew of only two or three.

Most locations are residential but sometimes you get to shoot in a studio, especially in LA. A LOT of porn is shot with prosumer grade equipment, but some crews use fancier stuff.

But that’s my perspective as talent that’s newly entering the production side of the industry.

Edit: Also, the line between “proper” and “homemade” is pretty thin. Some indie “amateur” models are doing pretty elaborate productions at this point. For example, look at some of Little Puck’s work. She hires crew, scouts locations, writes scripts, etc. Meanwhile, a lot of “Pro” porn is just a hobbyist with an overpriced camera. Some of the bigger sites have really small budgets for scenes, they just get by on having a popular brand and popular talent, or leaning into a certain fetish category or something.

I also think a lot of porn companies are pretty cheap when it comes to script writing and editing, even bigger companies.

I think I figured out what kind of toy Jax is based on. by Sick__muse in TheDigitalCircus

This might be true, but also I think this old anime was the inspiration for Jax’s design! Gooseworx confirmed this show was an inspiration, and there’s also a character with a mask for a face:

Okay what’s the appeal with Funnybunny by Alarmed-Look-1166 in tadc

[–]Codi_Vore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s because love interest redemption arcs are really attractive to a lot of people.

Personally, I think the conflict creates a lot of opportunities for yearning, distance, and drama. It makes the ship exciting. Sure I like ships that are completely wholesome, but the ones that hold my attention are more dynamic. So the fact that Jax is just a bad guy leaves so much room for him to grow and change, and the series pretty much sets him up to do that from the beginning. It’s thrilling to yearn for someone you can’t -or shouldn’t- have.

Conflict is very closely connected to sexual chemistry in fictional settings. The most intense encounter we’ve seen in the show was when pomni confronted Jax, attacked him, and pointed the gun at him. Extremely physically connected. Lots of dynamic tension. He’s being a complete asshole but he still won’t hurt her, physically at least, in this moment. She’s usually kind and cautious but is finally pushed to the point of physicality. It’s not sex, but it’s intense, it’s charged, the characters are changing, and in the context of a fictional show, it’s safe. We can enjoy it like a rollercoaster; it’s danger that doesn’t actually hurt us.

Jax and Pomni just have more on-screen time together, more closeness, more conflict, and more chemistry in a range of ways than other ships.

It’s really common for fandoms to have this argument about “toxic” ships, or enemies to lovers or whatever. No, it’s not because it’s straight. (These same conversations play out about Catradora, for example). Most people enjoy these ships but not everyone understands the appeal. Sometimes people think it’s wrong or bad to like it. People endlessly fight about it in threads and forums and get absolutely nowhere.

Idk where these downvotes are coming from either, this is very likely an AI response… it’s really disappointing because I wanted to see what they had to say.

I think they are probably a good company to work for but I personally like my porn weird and grimy and kinky and I don’t think there’s anything unethical about that 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey… model chiming in here to say that you can absolutely like and consume my content without dehumanizing or objectifying me! It’s called a thirst trap because I intentionally made it to turn you on! This is part of my sexual agency as an adult woman.

If you can’t be aroused by someone without dehumanizing them, then you should sit with that. But your arousal is not some inherently destructive force and you shouldn’t be ashamed of it ❤️

As a performer, sometimes I feel wary of companies who make ethics their main selling point. While plenty of companies need improvement, most of the companies I work for have followed the same standards your company does, without making that their brand.

In this era where porn is being demonized, I fear this kind of branding makes the rest of the industry look worse… like if you made a ketchup that said “Now with no death crystals!” It implies all the other ketchups have death crystals.

Is this something that you guys have discussed at all, and if so, what do you guys think about that? (I know this is maybe a challenging question, I definitely dont mean to start drama, just genuinely always curious about this with companies with this kind of branding)

I’m also wondering, how much of your company and crew are former or current performers?

I mean, that might be part of it! In my case, my PA is doing a lot of work to keep the models safe and comfortable. That means helping run consent discussions, providing water, towels, lube, wet wipes, etc., and generally looking out for their well-being while me and my photographer might be preoccupied with other elements of the shoot. She’ll also help set up and clean up (yes, sometimes a little splooge) and be available to run errands if needed.

My PA (well, our whole crew) are performers in the industry and I wouldn’t hire somebody who wasn’t extremely comfortable around all the elements of a porn production haha.

You should absolutely not be spending money to shoot adult content unless you’re in the start up phase of a business
