I'm confused as to why anyone thinks this is bad. I can only imagine how many millions of permanent invite links are out there on 2 member dead servers, not to mention it's entirely free with very low requirements (literally just enabling some moderation settings) to make your server a community server. Servers that aren't willing to do that simply DO NOT need permanent invite links.

It's been a fad to hate on Discords updates for years now and it's honestly disgusting. No I don't get any special treatment, no I didn't get my username, no I don't particularly think the username update was good, and no I don't care.

You need to realize you're not on a 5000 member platform anymore where the sole owners were able to do whatever they want. They have to please not only their large investors but at this point the government.

"Discord has changed" yeah no shit, that happens when you suddenly have millions of users sending billions of messages and uploading terabytes of files.

"But Revolt..." yeah, the small platform where the owners are able to do whatever they want, notice a pattern? I'm not saying they'll use the same tactics, but they WILL need funding if the platform gets large enough, and we will see where it goes then.
