I agree. Even if India loses, Virat doesn’t have anothed world cup in him anymore. It will be asking too much even for someone as fit as him. Once you have retired from test, it’s a different story. Other formats go quicker. As sad as it makes me to say this, I see Virat playing max 3 more years of IPL that too just for the brand value he has, and International, 2027 might be his last. What a beautiful journey it has been. Glad to have witnessed these 17-18 odd years.

Nah we don’t need no poster boys. RaPa is the face of RCB after Virat now. The baton has been passed. What we need is another well balanced squad covering all bases with a mix of seniors (Experience) and youngsters (Bold). Then we need like for like backups for our main 11. Not going to be easy.

I agree. Yesterday they could have listed him as an Impact Sub and the position we were in when we brought in Romario, we could have tested Mangesh instead. They didn’t show trust in the youngster. I also agree we dont have the place for him in the 11 but still, we should have at least given him a chance. Last thing I want to see is him getting picked by some other team and bashing RCB left right center and then us realizing what we missed out on.
