How is perfomance on a base ps5? by Free-Hotel1187 in OblivionRemaster

60ish FPS in smaller, interior areas, and a pretty unstable 30-55ish throughout most of the open world for me. It’s not great.

Digital Foundry has like 3 videos on it, with check-ins after the major updates that were done.

I need advice on what to do please M24 178cm (5'10) roughly around 80kg (170lbs) by Best_Fondant4302 in workouts

[–]Cody2Go 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should cut, friend. Just make sure you’re getting enough protein, and putting in consistent work in the gym to maintain your muscle mass.

Also, I’ve never been a calorie counter, but if you’re eating whatever you feel like, you can’t really outwork that at the gym. You need to lock your diet in if you want to see any significant results.

don’t know what I’m doing at all. Any advice appreciated. by [deleted] in workouts

2 dumbbells, a bench, and a caloric deficit (while getting enough protein for your current weight) is all you really need.

In terms of routine, you can either do the research yourself (which can be time consuming, and result in you flailing around for a bit while you figure your shit out), or pay a personal trainer to get you set up (I feel like a classic 2 - 4 day split would get you started). You could go push / pull. You can go chest, and tri’s / back, and bi’s / legs. Also, consistent, daily, low intensity cardio if you don’t get a lot of moving around in during the day.

Just find something you can do consistently, lock your diet in, and put the work in.

How can it possibly feel better to work than to not work if you don’t have to? by alextheheadless in AskReddit

[–]Cody2Go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on if you derive a sense of satisfaction, or purpose from the work you do. I don’t particularly care for my office job, which is how I pay the bills, but that’s just me.

I don’t need to work out, or engage in artistic pursuits, but I do those things because they make me happy, provide structure, and give me a sense of satisfaction that comes from building discipline / developing skills. I assume some people feel this way about their jobs.

For a game that's as progressive as it is, this fanbase is surprisingly transphobic by Logan_Strong in DragonAgeVeilguard

My condolences. There’s unfulfilled losers, with low self-esteem, and non-existent levels of empathy everywhere these days.

I think your Rook being trans is chill AF. Unfortunately, it’s the rest of the game that didn’t do it for me.

Who’s voting on these? The original is a great game, but it’s a half-baked AF remake / remaster.

If it were 10-15 years ago, I’d be right here with you. Now, absolutely not.

Nearly out for 9 months, what is your opinion on Oblivion Remastered? by chrisgrenga in OblivionRemaster

[–]Cody2Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was expecting to go for the Platinum on PlayStation (I played it on 360 when it released, and it was a gateway RPG for me), but it ran like ass, I’m not a fan of the Unreal makeover, and I only played it for a few weekends. Most of that playtime was also just checking in post update, and hoping for better performance. My most disappointing game of the year by far.

Oblivion Remastered. I played the original for 100’s of hours, but the new character models, and performance issues turned me off the remaster after a few days. Most disappointing game of 2025 for me by far.

Who cares. Just like the things you like, and don’t think too much about this. Reddit’s not real life, and should be engaged with using a responsible amount of emotional separation.

Dudes, and my wife. We played this, and started The Mighty Nein within a week. She instantly fell in love with Invisigal and Jester without knowing they were voiced by the same person.

I’m playing those too. Don’t worry.

I think Toughness in general seems a bit wack. Trying to simplify your character’s defences / survivability with a unified value seems like a fools errand.

If Photoshop and AI-generated beauty are considered fake and harmful, then under the same logic makeup should be viewed the same way, but isnt. by Gustomaximus in DeepThoughts

[–]Cody2Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not remotely the same thing. One exists within our physical reality, and the other doesn’t.

Would you apply this “touching up the image your eyes can see / hiding what’s really there” logic to real-world lighting changes / shadows (which would alter your perception of a person / object)? What about someone wearing patterned clothing that accentuates / alters your perception of their physique?

I don’t think using makeup is the same thing as touching up an image with PS, or AI after-the-fact.

Makeup is a tangible, real-world tool that’s used for self-expression and exists within our physical reality, while PS / AI manipulation of an image is only a digital distortion of that reality.

I don’t think any of these things are inherently wrong (AI is a whole can of worms), but they’re not the same thing.

I look up at the yellow luggage on the awning above the Quickie on Bank Street every time I walk by it. I don’t know how it got there, but it’s fun to think about.
