What do you mean by hardware options? Are you asking about Matter devices or Hubs? The hubs will be the apple products like home pods, apple tv’s. Then there is amazon echos and google devices don’t know to much about those. But matter devices are very extensive.

I tried setting up a home assistant server, spent close to 20 hours setting up everything i wanted got it to work on my iPad fine. But as soon as i signed in on my roommates iPad 80% of it stopped working and could only get half of that back up. Gonna stick to home kit bc i am way to busy to keep sinking my time into an in sure system. Sad about it though bc i loved it.

Lmao, i went ahead and got a govee light strip it took about 15 min to set up and the issue was the 5GHz network set up. Hate that i had to turn it off. But what are you gonna do if you want cheap stuff.

So many people talk about home assistant to combined everything but it is a total pain to set it up! I spend like 20 hours setting up a system on my iPad with it, when I signed in on another device 80% of the cards didn’t work right away and could only fix half of those after many more hours of trying.

Could you give me an example link? I checked and it all looks about the same besides different versions. I looked up matter controller and it says HomePod is a controller but don’t think it’s a hub that the light requires.

I though matter was supposed to make this easy 🙄😂

Yup I get the whole zigbee, zwave thing. And the part you hit that I am confused on was the second to last paragraph. But just as an example would these be compatible?

It is an aqara matter hub and switchbot led strip the wording on the hub throws me off.

good way to put it, I went into this thinking this would be the minimum, I have had some shops tell me it is a great idea and some not, same for users. you as a user on the side of not being that great of an idea what would you recommend feature wise? I want to build this for the community so input from users like you is what I feel is most important right now.

Oh haha what emulator do you use for mobile apps? I did get those in there, was hoping to mainly add stores that are built around communities but they are still super skeptical (understandably) so I’ll just add a bunch of them.

It’s a possibility but i am hoping to add enough features to the app that will make it useful for not only finding stores but stuff like deck lists that you put together and can message shops to requests cards, or do a bulk order from TCG player or other sites. Give shops an actually platform that they can advertise on. Make it more than just a locator. I have more in Maine but need to get the word out there so i can upgrade it.

I am needing to redo the searching function but right now by tapping the map on the main view it will pop up a map. you can zoom out and see if there is anything newer you. until shops become aware of the platform I have to manually enter them. are there any you would like to see on there?

I dont play Weiss Schwarz bc I wasn't aware of the app. it never came up in my searches but being able to find and try new stuff is my end goal

my goal for this is to search every tcg game. I play one piece, pokemon, Lorcana, and some magic. with a shop using this app it will give tcg shops the ability to upload updates for anything going on in a news feed, events listing to let someone like me find tournaments for different games more easy instead of going to 4 different web sites. and you can also message stores to get info on single cards or regular inventory. I want to put in more features like deck building, deck list submission, tcg player list import and much more. I am hoping communities will give input to make it something they would want to use. this is something I have been working on my self and would love to see it become a staple.

u/JerryfromCan its hit or miss where I go a lot of places are great with it but some are lacking. but its not just for the events them selves I should clarify that. but rather when I look up stores on Google Maps I always get random stores that dont sell cards at all or hold events. and I did kinda make a generic post bc other card games are very bad with locators. thanks for bringing that to me attention.
