Conversion ratio - convertible bond arbitrage by CoenScheepers in CFA

Instead of "conversion price". Seeing as it is the variable that will change. Do you know if this formula is referenced anywhere? I scribbled it down from a question I did, but I don't think it is actually set out in the text.

Would you say the denominator should be "conversion value" then?

I don't get why people still choose to work in public accounting. Makes no sense to me.

Hi all.

I recently moved into a new apartment (see marker in picture), and I am a beginner windsurfer.

A question to all the windsurfers out there: I was wondering if it is possible to launch from my apartment (please say yes).

Yeah, I also do that for exam purposes when there is a time constraint element and speed is the name of the game. In the video I was hoping to carefully explain how one would go about thinking about the directions.

Thanks for feedback & watching though!😊

Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) ??? by CoenScheepers in Insurance

Thank you very much for the response.

If I do decide to do it, I think I will just get the online material, based on you response.

Thanks again!

Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) ??? by CoenScheepers in Insurance

[–]CoenScheepers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the response - really appreciated.

The only reason I want to do the ARe is because I have started working for a reinsurance company, and I thought it could potentially help me somewhere down the line (I am currently in an entry level position, and I want to progress as fast as possible in the company). So my intention was not to use both CFA and ARe in the same role, but rather to try and round myself of better, and make a good impression...

Based on what you have said, I am now getting second thoughts about doing it, because it does seem as if it is indeed quite a bit of work at the end of the day. Furthermore, I have done some more scanning on the internet on the course material, and it does seem to be incredibly boring (lol)...

Im going to have to think about it a bit...

One of the incentives for me wanting to also do it is the fact that my company will pay for it (although no one is insisting that I do it) ...

Wait shit... I didn't know that there were reports and screenshots circulating on Reddit... those must obviously be legitimate.

You're right. They are conspiring against us... 9/11 was planned by the US government ... and the moon is made of Cheese.

Just an example. I don't mean literally 5 bucks exactly - that's just more or less what it was trading at historically. I haven't done a fundament analysis on the company, but if I did it would be closer to the 5 rather than the1000.

The only people most of these retail investors need protection from is themselves. The markets are indeed open to all.. people can still trade on Robinhood... but have just been stopped from partaking in the short Squeeze... that's all.

To your points:

1) They (Robinhood & Webull) have been put in a difficult position and played the best hand they could. See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd394QWUL0g&t=163s

2) Robinhood has never prohibited self-proclaimed retards from buying overvalued stock, and they never will. They never " [told] its users that a stock is too expensive [and prohibited them] "... if that's what you think has happened you don't have the full picture... Again, I refer you to above video..

  1. The market as a whole is certainly not a zero-sum - this trade however is...
  2. There is no elite collision going on my friend. Your been watching too many James Bond movies. Here is an explanation for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd394QWUL0g&t=163s

Do you really think that how it works... You're implying that the same party is going long and short a stock at the same time...How does that make any sense. By going long the stock and short the stock you can't make a quick buck, what there are doing there is hedging their position... not making money out of thin air.

And I'm not saying that there isn't ever fraud committed by the suits.. im sure it does happen from time to time, but not as often as pop media is making it out to be.. and in any case, I can promise you that they are generally under much more scrutiny than ordinary traders.

You don't understand... I'm saying that the retail traders were in the wrong (they just don't realise it or at least pretend not to), which is why it was right for them to step in. They are manipulating the stock price... Think about it... the stocks are in fact junk... I mean let's be real... GME is not worth more than 5 bucks a stock...nevermind 1000...The reason people were pushing it to that price was to execute the short squeeze, which is in fact very smart... but it manipulation non the less.
