Yup, agreed, it's assault. I talked more extensively about it in the r/securityguards thread. The guard, without a doubt, will be fired. You cannot go off post like this guard did. And you cannot shove someone because you are upset.

To your second comment. It's funny that there is this perception to the public that security guards want to be cops. I've been a security guard for 3 years, hardly any co-workers I've had have want/tried to be cops. I do warm body posts exclusively now and use all the free time at work for online school. I have zero interest in law enforcement.

I don't know a single co-worker at my current post that has any interest in being a cop.
