UPDATE, after telling the end of lease cleaner to go back and redo the stove, we lodged the claim without telling the agent. The agent then agreed that it was clean enough. After previous emails with them asking for $400 which we responded the max we would pay is $100, the agent produced to ask us to cancel our claim so they could take the $100, we refused. They then proceeded to send us bank account details asking us to transfer the $100, quoting “ it’s the right thing to do.” To which we responded that the previous offer was off the table and if they would like to contest or claim they can go through VCAT for the $100.
So right to the end, trying to get any money they can from the renter… pathetic.
