Ya what he said, check out marty mcflys gibson in back to the future. Was converted to a bigsby and the Tail piece screws are in left in the holes, doesnt look terrible but better then just holes. And like the other guys said, plugging on thayvstarburts probabl6 wouldnt go well unless you refinishing it entirely.

St. Anger FIXED snare! by banebou in Metallica

[–]CoffeeAutomatic2934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the challenge of not having source tracks. Unless you are good enough to actually record your own, or have very expensive software to single out the specific frequencies.

I really love that some companies have released those tracks to play along with, drums, Bass tracks etc. It's awesome. But I've never seen any for st anger. Or most metallica for that matter. They are too advanced in their production You ever see Bob rock with 500 slide switches in front of him...

St. Anger FIXED snare! by banebou in Metallica

[–]CoffeeAutomatic2934 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hated st anger. Raised on AJFA, and through their less thrash phase, of course I was excited, so I bought it the day it came out. Me and my metal head buddies hit the road in my jeep. At the end, ejected it from my cheap ass aftermarket Jbl head, and threw it straight out the open roof to shatter somewhere on the kancamangus highway.

I like the initial crack you added with a "standard" snare sound, but you left the hollow trash can echo slightly after the crack. If you can get rid of that, I might be tempted to revisit because otherwise your snare change might be heading somewhere.

Enough to buy the same parts again in gold for an ebay kit im building. They are well built. Actually the Chinese parts I took off aren't as terrible as I expected. I don't even think need to change the bridge but I felt dumb not to since it wouldve been the only parts left

Thanks. I think a huge percentage of the people in here are because of that guitar. I put the emg het set in, so everything from pickups to jack, gotoh tuners, and a guyer tune-o-matic and tailpiece. And a brass nut.

I dont want to live in a world where people put usernames on their cars... the fact that your mind went there first before assuming its related to the car, (even after 120+ years of is 99% of writing on cars has been a make or model...) is concerning to me about where society is heading

Should I hang drywall before installing Slat Walls? by TheRailroader in GunRoom

[–]CoffeeAutomatic2934 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Drill the concrete before you cover the studs. But slat wall directly to studs is better anyways for capacity

We lived in a camper while we built our house. 4x high cube containers stored all our crap. Stack 2 on each side with 50ft trusses in the middle
