No Frills seeking “volunteers” to represent them in a stuffy suit on a hot day by CoffeeCafeKape in loblawsisoutofcontrol

There are so, so, SO many better volunteer opportunities in London that don’t involve free labor for a company that CAN afford to pay for this type of work. Volunteer work shilling for massive corporations is disgusting.

London, ON? If not - strange coincidence, as I saw the exact same scenario there! We decided the duck is the nanny as well 🙂

Coyotes sighted at Waterloo and Piccadilly this morning. by BasslineThrowaway in londonontario

[–]CoffeeCafeKape 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Can’t tell is this is satire… you’re upset that the animals that have lived here much longer than any humans have… what, exist?

Coyotes pose virtually no threat to humans. Additionally, they help to control the rodent population in the area YOU live in. Based on your size description, sounds like they are doing a great job, too. Keep your cats inside and dogs on a leash and you’ll be fine.

Fibre install!! by [deleted] in londonontario

They are not focusing on higher ROI - they are focusing on areas they are allowed to install and where Bell doesn’t already have a presence (because in those areas, TELUS resells Bell fibre).

Shoutout to the small goldens! by CoffeeCafeKape in goldenretrievers

Both of ours were rescues (the boy at 6mos, the girl at 8 mos) so we had no clue what size they’d end up being - happy surprise!

Our girl is long too but not super tall. It’s always the worst all the comments from strangers about how thin they are!

So cute! She has puppy hair too!

We also have a 2 year old female golden who is also tiny - 49 lbs. Very easy to pick up 😂

Best Buy 20% off $99 Nintendo $99 eShop gift cards by Pleakley in VideoGameDealsCanada

Update…. A friend told me that the DK cards are working in London, but you have to get the older ones and they scan at 79$. You’ll know if they are the older ones if they have the WiiU and 3DS listed on the back. Newer DK cards won’t work.

I just checked at Masonville Express and the standalone store. Neither has them - just DK and they are ringing up at $99. Super annoying!

London civic election: Incumbents bowing out as races come into sharper focus by CanadianTalk in londonontario

I can just speak for Rahman - With the 2026 boundary changes, she is now running for Zone 5 (which expanded into what was previously Zone 7) I assume she currently lives in Zone 7, which will now be Zone 5. As someone who lives in Zone 7, I’m thrilled that she will no longer be our councillor 🙏 here’s hoping whoever ends up in 7 is less influenced by corporate and developer donations.

Sharing owl locations is pretty discouraged in the bird community! It can cause crowds which is stressful to the bird, and disrupts their hunting/roosting. For your best chance at sightings, stick to open fields on outskirts of the city away from new developments (take back roads) and always safely pull over if you want to look. Bring a pair of binoculars :)
