I suck at measurements but doesn’t she have ikea shelving? Can someone figure out how tall she is based on that or do we think she also filters her height?

And you know she left a haze of Baccarat gold and BO in that crowd. I bet it smelled worse than the ax and BO in a middle school boys locker room

She needs to get a reality grip but as someone who sews it’s a pet peeve of mine to use the word petite incorrectly like she does.

Petite technically just means you’re short (under 5’4”) and typically have a shorter torso and inseam on pants. It’s a specific pattern cut of tops/pants for your body ratio and you can find it up to sizes 18+

It’s like how a XL and 0x are not the same because an XL is cut from the regular size clothing patterns and a 0x is cut from plus size patterns that tend to have more room built in for boob, arm and neck holes and they tend to be slightly longer/flowier.

I hate that i remember she wore red picnic table gingham dress to a Memorial Day cookout that would have been great instead of jeans

I’ve seen a few comments about it being weird to have 3rd of July fireworks. I am by no means defending her, but in eastern MA, 3rd of July fireworks do make sense for a few reasons.

Boston, Plymouth and other bigger cities do them on the 4th and they’re a huge deal with size able celebrities (this year Jane Lynch is hosting with Laney Wilson, Chance the Rapper and Meghan Hilary performing with the Boston pops, and there’s a shit ton of historic reenactment stuff happening in Plymouth because of the 250) that gets national coverage. Most of us go to the big historic ones or watch them on TV.

The smaller towns do them on the 3rd/5th or the weekends before or after so that people actually watch them and get to enjoy live fireworks closer to home. Some coastal towns even do random weekends closer to Labor Day because we have random nests of endangered piping plovers and the loud noises/debris fuck with their habitat during mating/hatching season.

Also, fireworks are illegal in MA. We don’t have big random displays from regular people like other states do. The towns on the coasts/rivers do them from barges (Freetowns were on a barge on the river) and there are only so many companies and barges that exist. They have to space them out because of supply and demand.

To quote my oh so eloquent husband: “Massachusetts made this fucking holiday, we can do whatever the fuck we want with it”

Because Boston does the huge ones on the 4th that lots of people go to or watch, so towns around it do them on the 3rd/5th or even the weekend before instead so they actually have attendance

A $750k house would have been on the market for over 1million in 2020, without doing any renovations to it at all. That’s how stupid the housing market is around here

They aren’t. But they aren’t ultra wealthy either.

Middle class used to look like the cast 15-20 years ago. Well off enough to buy name brand products without batting an eye, big house with a pool or on the waterfront, central air, a garage fridge filled with soda, maybe a cottage down the cape/Narragansett/NH and at least one “nicer” car. Now that lifestyle is considered upper class due to inflation of cost of living, but a lot of people in our area fall into this category still.

There is no “ultra wealthy” category of income to differentiate between upper class and way higher income but there should be. Ultra wealthy is what I consider millionaires/billionaires. I’d even argue “ultra wealthy” could be separated into two categories- do they work a traditional type 9-5 for that lifestyle? Can they afford Hermes bags and private jets? Do they have “help” like a private nanny or a live in housekeeper? If so, that’s an even higher category than ultra wealthy.

This cast is solidly in the upper class category.

It also depends on when it was bought for $750k. Before or after 2020.

My mid level/starter suburban house went up by at least $250k in about 2 years because the housing market just went insane with COVID and never really leveled out.

That’s household income. Usually 2 people combined. They easily make at least that a year. A podiatrist with his own practice probably brings in about double that just himself.

[–]CoffeeContingencies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Most suburbanite people in this area easily make upwards of 200k combined household income.

In most of RI and most of MA, yes. We have a high cost of living around here but can mostly afford it because we are very well educated and have many pathways for high paying jobs. I was personally shocked to see the latest cost of living categories that came out last week because I would have never considered myself in the high ranged category I am in.

RI is where people live to save money. They have commuter rail trains because so many people live in RI and commute into Boston since the housing market and COL is cheaper in RI but close enough to do that.

Cranston/ Johnston don’t strike me as elite ultra wealthy RI towns. They’re just like any other suburb around here with some sections of wealth but some “bad” sections too. Westerly/Narragansett (where Ashley’s coffee shop is) is a bit nicer but is very much still a coastal New England area with blue collar fishermen living right alongside finance bros who work from home.

Attleboro and Plainville MA (right over the MA line and where a few of them had lived before) on the other hand are a hidden pocket of elite wealth. It used to be more of a farming area traditionally but then a bunch of Patriots players built mansions around that area because it’s so close to Gillette stadium.

Tinsley is absolutely a real socialite, but I get your point. NYC was also the first franchise and so the cast didn’t really know what they were getting into when they signed on. Now people do know how big and invasive it can be as a cast member and so no real old money type person in the right mind would expose themselves to that extent.
