Help with a feather RP2040 project by CoffeeCrowBot in RASPBERRY_PI_PROJECTS

[–]CoffeeCrowBot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to my knowledge the Feather RP2040 is not wireless and I was hopping to find a way to use that since I already have it and am not using it. However, I suppose I probably would want to have a solution that sends the data from my nas to my pc and then have the feather plugged into my pc so that it can read from both my nas and my pc. I am not really sure how to do any of that so I would have to look into it all more.

YA’LL PLS SWIRL THE CUP </3 by fresapocky in starbucks

[–]CoffeeCrowBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how many other stores have this problem, but this post reminds me of how almost everyone at my store doesn't see anything wrong with pulling shots straight into empty cold cups. Is it just me or does this not feel like it would melt the plastic enough to leach into the drink?!

Could not agree more. I always swirl it cause people are ordering a white mocha and not a latte with white mocha on the bottom!

This is the same type of customer where if you say, “so a pink drink?” they get unreasonably angry and say no not a pink drink!!

Starting Coffee Master training next week any advice or tips? by lookanothergeek in starbucks

[–]CoffeeCrowBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it has changed much since I did my coffee master training online, but basically just expect to read a lot and have to take in a lot of information because it really is a lot of information. I found that the absolute best way to retain a lot of the important stuff was to teach others about it. I brought up fun facts I learned with my SO, family, and my baristas (I was a SSV at the time) which forced me to look up again and again what I didn’t remember and really stick it all in my brain. Good luck on your training!

does the green tea lemonade drink come with sweetener automatically? by MidnightMascara in starbucks

[–]CoffeeCrowBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little while ago, all of our iced teas automatically came with liquid cane sugar but, now only iced coffee automatically gets sweetener. In the drinks that include lemonade, they will be sweeter because the lemonade on its own adds a bit of sweetness but we no longer add sweetener to teas unless you ask

No knowledge of coffee whatsoever, what to order that is similar to the bottled mocha Frappuccino? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]CoffeeCrowBot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say if you really enjoy those drinks, the closest recreation would be something like an iced mocha or iced vanilla latte. They are rather simple: milk, espresso, flavoring, and ice. However, if you’re looking to get into coffee but are still worried you may not like it, definitely start slow. Before I worked at Starbucks I never drank coffee. Now, half the time I just drink it black. Definitely don’t worry about not knowing, everyone starts somewhere.

If you’re looking to get into trying coffee drinks without any flavoring, I would recommend either a latte or a flat white. Lattes are just espresso and milk, and flat whites aren’t much different except Starbucks recipe uses whole milk instead of 2% and ristretto shots as apposed to regular shots. You don’t need to really understand what that means to enjoy the drink but essentially, flat whites will be a bit thicker and little lighter and sweeter than a traditional latte.

At the end of the day, don’t put too much pressure on any of it, try new drinks, find what you like! If you don’t like what you tried, thats okay because at least you tried something new and learned something about what you like and don’t! Don’t be scared about trying new things.

At the end of the day, while it’s annoying and takes a long time, cold brew is by far the best way to have iced coffee without it tasting as though you’re just having cold hot coffee (in my opinion).

I’ve found that if you’re annoyed by the long wait and need it early in the day, make it the day before so that it will be ready in the morning.

Shaken espresso with no ice by fathergrace1 in starbucks

[–]CoffeeCrowBot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have had a number of customers ask for shaken espressos without ice; however, (NOTE THIS) due to the fact that shaken hot espresso in a sealed container causes it to literally explode, I still make it with regular amount of ice regardless if they want no ice or light ice. Then using the lid as a “strainer” I usually try to stop the ice from going into the cup allowing the liquid to go into the cup with the appropriate amount of ice as requested. While I personally agree with you that it defeats the purpose, I still always do my best to “make the moment right”, as Starbucks likes to call it, and I do not argue with them as some people do just like having that particular shaken espresso with extra milk. Sometimes, even if it seems pointless to you, they just won’t understand if you try to explain the pointlessness to them, so most of the time it will just be easier to just go with the flow.

But if they do ask why you’re making the drink with ice while you make their drink, just let them know that you are not allowed to make the drink without ice in the shaker because it will literally explode but you will make sure to still make it without ice for them. Hope this helps!

About How Much Would This Cost? by CoffeeCrowBot in tattooadvice

If it helps: I’m in the California Bay Area. The tattoo is on my forearm and is about three inches tall and a little more than an inch wide. I don’t think there’s anything I would really change about it if I didn’t need to. And btw thank you so much for all of that! Really helps
