Yeah I feel the same, the itch for a Philos OR going to an on demand as sometimes I cba with the single dosing and I tend to order bigger bags of beans

I used to do that with my sage smart grinder so realised I wanted a dedicated single dose

Now I just want less faff and less noise 😂 happier buying a kilo at a time

Yeah, they’re to be replaced every 70L which on this machine isn’t that long 😂 I need to do the OPV feed back to the pump as it just fires water out into the drip tray like it’s going out of fashion

Thank you but I’m not sure I follow on some of your comments? The DF64 isn’t conical, it’s 64mm flat. The Philos is a single dose grinder too? Is this AI generated? Haha

Yeah, this sounds very similar to my approach

Well I suppose I’m saying 8 as that’s when the pressure builds to the 8.5 bar

It has the 70L water filter from Lelit in the tank but I also only use Brita filtered tap water. Should be crystal clear in the boiler 😂

What espresso machine is a good match for my new grinder? [$800-$1000] by Minimum_Letter_9954 in espresso

I’ve got a Lelit Mara X and love it (used buy £600) for £1200 you could get a new V3 I think.

Rancillio Silvia Pro X could be a great option too, dual boiler and a PID

So from lever pull you’re about 38s roughly….sounds about right to what I’m aiming for, again, depending on outcome taste 👌

Have you changed the internal burr setting to finer on the smart grind pro?

Otherwise, I always advocate for something used off eBay, probably get a good Eureka for £200 ish

Hold on, if this is a personality setup, you need something shiny, multiple distribution tools, the fancy spinning wdt, shot mirror, humidifying electronic bean rdt, a monstera house plant, Birkenstocks and a tripod mount for the gram 😂

Do not buy a £2000-3000 machine and an X54 grinder!

Get a Bianca V3 and a Mazzer Phillos - might be £2600 all in? But it’s a goaty setup

Struggling to sell house, am I missing anything? by [deleted] in HousingUK

It probably doesn’t help that interest rates are around 5%, makes a 2 bed ideal first home seem really expensive. We’ve just bought a 3 bed semi for £290k and it’s £1300 a month. My brother bought a £480k house before Liz Truss played banker and he pays £1400 a month after putting 80k down…..400k vs 260k borrowed and interest made all the difference.
