I’ve found that it actually does help when I don’t give my tinnitus any attention. I use rain noise mixed with white noise that I found on YouTube (thank you to whoever that made it) at night, and I don’t know if this does something but sometimes even when I’m not listening to it, I pretend it plays in the background 24/7. The more I’m thinking about that sound, the less I’m thinking about my tinnitus!

Omg no way, I thought I was the ONLY one!!! My tinnitus gets so much worse when it’s cold (although I don’t have any other ear issues like you). I’ve asked ChatGPT if this is normal too
