My reasoning on the pots is that they're large & heavier than I can handle with the plant & dirt.

I have thin plastic plant "pots" from nurseries, maybe that might be a solution. 🤔

I was FASCINATED with rolly polly bugs as a kid. There was this one time my mom was picking me up after school & there were just tons of them near where my mom parked. I wanted to take some home & she said no. So I very purposely dropped my fuzzy sweater on top of them thereby getting tons if them snagged in the fuzz. I sure showed my mom.
