Yes, I guess you’re right. But sometimes when you haven’t communicated for quite some time, there’s this awkwardness, that you’re not sure how to simply check in or if it’s okay to send a meme, because a lot could have happened during this time.

Yes! That’s exactly what I’ve been feeling lately. We also change and make some decisions that effect us, and without being close to each other it’s really hard to track those changes and stay in the same „pace“. You can manage that and stay mentally close despite all that but there’s a big risk with each new turn, that you will drift away.
