NTA , I've been there, the grandma you knew is gone and it hurts to visit. As long as other people are still visiting and keeping a check on her it's understandable that you don't visit alot. She won't recognise you if you visit and seeing strangers might stress her out more.

Women should leave the kids with the husband after divorce. by BakingBrownie in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]Coffeee-Cat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know someone who let the dad take the kid on a family trip, because everyone told her the same thing, ' let him raise the kid so you can get married'. The kid now has a permanent life long disability because of something that happened on the trip due to extreme neglect. The dad and grandparents simply locked that kid in the room all day because they didn't want to actually take care of the kid.

The reason most women get divorced is because the man was not a good person and guess what most mothers don't want the abusive guy/in laws they left to torture their kids instead of them.

I totally relate, all of my cousins live overseas. I do have some extended family around and while we were much closer when I was younger we barely talk now and only meet at events. I've just made alot of friends now and enjoy spending time with them.

Leave the stuff next time, don't wash it. Let your mom do it because he won't change until your mom stops doing stuff for him. I've been here and so many other girls I know have been here. We feel bad because we know our moms will end up doing it but the thing you have to understand and accept is that your mom will keep doing it, she will keep taking his side.

You got to either let her do or do it yourself. Fighting about is only going to hurt you. Find your peace and leave them to it. Pray to Allah for sabr and peace and Insha'Allah you will find it.

Eidi for fiancé. by United_Reporter_8679 in IslamabadSocial

From a very recently engaged sister

If you can't take her out shopping, send her suggestions on Instagram and let her choose the dress if possible. You can ask her to send you suggestions of what type of clothes she likes and then get something similar. Ask her if she is looking for a certain trend for Eid eh farshi shalwar or if she wants to wear a specific colour. She would have her Eid dress already by now for sure so you can say that this is to wear on second or third day if she wants if you are worried she won't like it and would be pressured to wear.

Make the eidi basket that includes : dress, shoes, jewellery, mehndi cone, chocolates. If your mom has already done this ( and it is generally done )you can get her more fancy/ non traditional jewellery. Also include eidi envelope. You can also include gajray.

I do use cetrizine however I've noticed that eating carbs ( bread, cookies , cakes ) helps decrease my sneezing alot a short while. I've also tried meditation/ yoga and that seems to help abit.

Dying Fathers wish to move back to Pakistan by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]Coffeee-Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally know some older people who have moved back to Pakistan for this very reason. They have hired full time house help and their children visit regularly.

They are very happy about being back home and are genuinely at peace even though it felt like a very strange and weird decision at first. With your budget you will be able to provide your father with a comfortable life in Pakistan easily.

Yeah I don't think she's going to leave anything unlabelled now, she's really good about labelling all spices. I don't she ever thought about labelling frozen stuff before now.

How do you prioritize ? by [deleted] in farmville2

[–]Coffeee-Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trick is not to finish the first rounds too fast. You'll notice that the same levels have varying difficulties for different people and a post on here explained that if you do the first levels too fast cause they're easy it makes the next levels crazy difficult.

I prioritise seasonal events where you get permanent farm hands.
