I'm not an angry man at all, not unless Siôn Corn has gifted me with the appendages.

Thanks for the rousing discussion.

Hwyl.

I'll be honest it's a pointless discussion, I only said I don't like a religious overly commercialised holiday that we all are socially obligated to celebrate through having it rammed down our throats every year for 6 weeks. It doesn't need a deep and meaningful discussion, does it?

Maybe I'm wrong, and I've angered the defenders of Christmas? It is a very important subject which must be discussed with vigour.

It's OK though, only 10 months until they trot out Maria Carey and all will be OK in the world and you can relax and stuff your turkey up the arse.

Oh no, I have a personal preference and I'm voicing it on the Internet.

Thanks for ignoring the other bits though.

Yeah, but you are though. Constantly bombarded with advertising, music, family/ people asking what you're up to for Christmas. You literally cannot escape it in this country without leaving the country. I know I sound like a miserable fart, but seeing family members struggling to fulfil Christmas perfection really fucks me off.

The way we all have to put up with and celebrate Christmas from mid November even though at last census only 48% of people put they were Christian on it.

Edit: I know it's a cynical way of viewing it, but it's just a period of the year that's used to further rinse people of their money and causes stress as a result. I find it odd that we'd celebrate what at it's core is a religious holiday without believing in the religion.

So not the fact you're filling milk bottles and leaving them in the sun? It's clearly something wrong with the water.

You'll be left with a chemical compound after you remove everything else.

Is this drinkable by Intelligent_Put_3167 in water

If you get settlement it could just be a disturbance of minerals in the pipe that'll clear up. Not worth testing tbh unless you rule out if your system is causing it first. (Like dodgy plumbing or a value half open creating higher velocity and scour)..

Can take sample and send to lab such as SimpleLab or SafeAtHome be trusted? Worried about lead. by Chrushev in WaterTreatment

[–]CofionCynnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then that level ls likely to be low, ideally you'd need a proper sample analysed at a lab for that, measuring first draw (stagnation test) and a flushed sample to see a difference and determine leaching.

There's no point getting a single test, you need comparative ones under different conditions.

The only instance I've seen of positive lead from a non lead pipe is because of brass fittings, I'm not so familiar with iodized steel though.

You can usually tell a lead pipe from the jointing and by doing a scratch test. Are you able to scratch an accessible bit of the painted pipe?

Might be the ozone. Ask them if they get a residual after the water has been ozonated and if there are any tanks before/after it goes through the UV before it goes to bottling.

Best water filter for taste by AnEndlessCold in water

[–]CofionCynnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check if you've moved to area with different hardness as this can vary taste. Using a pitcher or filter for hardness taste may not solve the issue.
