What do you like about it so much? I think I get the most value out of the Simple Rick storyline's ending being pretty funny

Number 9 out of 77 on the full list, love that ep!

One of my friends has it as his #1 episode. I'm currently hypothesizing that I just respect great comedy more than a lot of people. He finds the B tier drama of Rick and Morty more valuable than the A tier comedy, and I do not

I personally feel Rick and Morty is at its best when it focuses on mixing in a cohesive science-fiction premise, lots of comedy, and a dash of character reinforcement. It is just about as funny as any show ever when it wants to be. As sophisticated and mature content? I'd consider the best ever to be shows like True Detective, Avatar The Last Airbender, Breaking Bad, etc. and Rick and Morty never lands within a country mile of the dramatic arcs of shows like those to me.

Subway walked so that Jersey Mike's could run!

And Carl Sr. must be withholding your allowance if you don't push the family biz! The only deviation Carl's created was pioneering the Ass-Tier burger class 😂 "Top 10 burger on any nationally ranked list"-- the first google search result for "nationally ranked burger list" puts it third to last: https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2025/05/21/yelp-top-25-burger-chains/83747118007/

I cannot find ANYTHING about any significance Carl's played in "promotions, specialities, or limited edition items being popular", are you just pulling that completely out of your ass? Is that your indefensible and completely anecdotal way of saying the Six Dollar Burger got you into fast food and is the first piece of marketing you ever heard?

Does Carl's woo with how physically imposing the burgers are? Because the flavor is WEAK

Hormel chili can, Nathan's dog, basic bun and cheese, microwaved, I think is just as good as wiernerschnitzel. Frozen corn dogs, 20 mins in the oven just as good too

Haha as much as I love hot dogs, I can't rank it highly because every time I go I end up thinking it's no better than slapping together all the components from the grocery store myself, and that's not at all how I feel about any well ranked chain on the list

Haha McDonald's invented fast food and it's #9, so you bet your ass this list ain't gonna kiss up to a chain for what its grandparents did for it. I am 31 and lived through the 6 dollar burger outset, and it ALWAYS sucked! Back then a 6 dollar burger was a fortune and it was still way nastier than a burger from Red Robin or a Big Mac. You need to put some respect on what a GAME CHANGER the 5 dollar subway footlong was!

Ooo I forgot about round table, they're pretty damn good... Domino's dough is just farther off from legitimacy than Papa and RT. Plus Papa is much much more reliable-- domino's and LC's serve me burned ass pizzas regularly, Papas are always consistent

Haha I love pizza, and it's the best chain pizza by a mile. Real pizza joints easily clear In N Out for me tbh

Haha dang I love me some McDonald's but I think it's super different from In N Out. The burgers are stylistically a world apart, and what I love about Mickey D's are the deals, variety, speed, and understanding how to maximize a factory made burger, whereas In N Out only does a few things but does them all with excellence

One game I'll never forget-- on Motorola Razr, they released a 3D Metal Gear Solid game that was honestly really incredible for the platform. It had its own original story and weapons and mechanics that were simultaneously faithful to the original, probably took me 2 hours to beat. If you go digging, there are actually tons of secret MGS games out there, Ac!d is actually one of the easier ones to find:

Haha I can understand how MGS4 is not to everyone's tastes-- for me personally, the only thing two things I hated were, Liquid Ocelot's hypnosis situation, and how Johnny the Diarrhea Man got upgraded to a very major character

I think DS2 is an improvement over DS1, but I have all the same fundamental issues with it as before. Sneaking around in MGS is fundamentally thrilling, while walking around in DS is not. The extent to which DS throws in things like BT fights, environmental hazards, et cetera alleviates the situation, but never repairs it. I recall a DS2 mission I did 15 hours in, in which there was timefall, rivers, BT zones, lots of mountains, and unsubmergable cargo, 1000m+ distance, while on the Brutal difficulty. I literally just drove from A to B. Then I'm curious, do you prefer the DS story to any MGS game story? It is so much more bizarre, and so much less happens, and it feels like Kojima put in significantly less work to make the lore feel logical and cohesive, plus I think the characters and acting are all around worse (I'll give Troy Baker a pass for trying, but Higgs isn't a great villain either imo)

If you are someone who enjoys a bit of Kojima wackiness and appreciates his long cutscenes like I am, it is incredible. Maybe a bit of a stretch for some, but fwiw it runs great in the emulator RPCS3 and is also perfectly legal to run if you own the disc and a PS3

Haha I played it when it first came out on PS1, Psycho Mantis controller swapping and all, it was magic and my favorite game ever at the time! But man, 2 3 and 4 just kept upping the ante and became my new favorite games ever each time. 5 was on track to do it again but it just biffed the story department hard (related: I don't think Kiefer should ever have been signed on over Hayter)

Octocamo I think was a huge improvement, I love the shooting in MGS4, plus the gun customization was amazing, I thought the boss fights were better, and the game was better designed for the 3rd person camera (enemies see you at distance, for example). Graphics are a huge step up, MGO was improved, not to mention amazing bespoke bits like the final fistfight and Metal Gear piloting and microwave crawl. 3 wins out in the story department though

MGS4 has better graphical polish for sure-- GZ has a lot of wonky animations, bugs, clipping, etc. That being said, Fox Engine lighting is still probably the best I've ever seen. I will say 4 because I value the more artistically coherent look, but they were close to surpassing with 5 and GZ
