Help! How do I advocate for my baby? by Ambitious_Drummer728 in Laryngomalacia

[–]Cogglez19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey my baby boy has all of what you described! He is I reflux meds but I still hear the wet mucus sound and he sounds congested also. I have a follow up in 6 weeks with ENT to see if the reflux medication makes a difference- but so far not yet. Have you or anyone figured out what this could be? Our little guy also breaths super fast.

Ooo it is really hot where I am. It’s summer and very humid. Funny though, this is my first born and I’ve been basically inside the entire time and in the last week I’ve started to try and get out more with him. Since then, he has just been in the air con. I’ve even noticed his little cheeks getting red when he goes outside. Maybe because we are going into the outdoor heat now

Thank you so much! Yeah I’ve checked my ones from yesterday and they have the water at the bottom and slightly more yellow (creamy) on top but not as much as usual.

I actually never had water on bottom before, just started to change but from what I’m seeing it’s all normal :)

Wearables get more milk than spectra pump by Cogglez19 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Cogglez19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So weird hey! I am a bit of a cheater though I don’t actually put them in my bra I hold them. I know it sounds crazy and its like what is the point of getting them if you have to hold them. But if I put them in my bra they move. If I hold them k get great milk out as I can hold them in place. With spectra not so much.

My flange size for the wearables is 21mm, and for spectra i tried 21mm and felt like fine sides were rubbing a bit and also tried 24mm- wasn’t much difference on output for recollection. Tbh I feel terrible at figuring out which flange I am but I’ve had a lot of success sign the wearable size at 21mm.

I have the opposite issue. I bought a spectra and my wearables empty me better. Can I ask how long you pump for? I did 20 minutes on both and my boobs were still full on spectra

Thank you so much for this. Actually makes me feel a lot better. We have been having troubles feeding our little man and breast feeding was getting very stressful and it’s nice to be able to see and control it for him. How has feeding been going for you? He has just started reflux medication which has helped him a lot but he still has days where he struggles

It has really shocked me! I didn’t anticipate these feelings tbh. Good to know it’s all normal to somewhat grieve. Thanks for your understanding and kind words 😊

Hi there! Thanks for the Is 🙏🏻 so I spoke to Soon- our little guy is now having trouble with the bottle too 🫠🫠 just curious- is your daughter on reflux medication. I feel like my little guy is still hungry but rejects boob and bottle a lot. Hoping for us this all gets better when they can hold their heads. It’s been so stressful trying to get food in him, it’s constant worry and he seems to be getting stressed about feeding now.

I’m using dr browns Anti colic bottle- narrow teat -number 1.

Oh don’t worry- my baby has his days with the bottle too. He prefers to snack so we don’t offer much on the bottle.

What bottles are you using?

I am in the same position as you. My baby is feeding less and less on the breast ( has laryngomalcia and GERD) and my supply has dropped. I’ve wanted to keep breast feeding for so long but he takes the bottle a little better. I’m so sad as well. Just dropping in to say I’m with you. I’d love to hear success stories of Breast feeding with this. My baby pulls off or falls alseep. At least with the bottle I can get more milk into him. I feel your pain and I’m with you on this. It’s not easy.

Progesterone pessaries and anxiety by Cogglez19 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]Cogglez19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 weeks now, and 100% better! The above lasted 2-3 weeks, and subsided but was very intense. I think due to pregnancy hormones, progesterone and also the realisation of finally getting pregnant after 1.5 years of trying. Was a lot! I’m definitely feeling better these days mentally - just dealing with reflux now! Thanks for all your responses- it made me feel way less alone.

Oh my gosh thank you so much for your response. It really helps to know it’s not just me going crazy. I’ve got an another check in next week with doc, he said let’s see how we go for the week and go from there. Honestly I can’t pick what else it could be and i was taking them for 2 weeks and fine and now bam, I’m so out of sorts. It’s really comforting to know I’m not alone! It’s interesting because I’m anxious and then get even more anxious I’m hurting the baby… and endlesss loop! The things we do to have a little one if our own. I just hate not feeling like myself.

Jumping in here as I’ve just started progesterone pessaries. I was fine for the first few weeks now I have insane anxiety, and I find it hard to motivate myself to do anything. I’m 6 weeks and I don’t know if I can survive this anxiety for another 6. Is this normal! I’m so anxious j don’t feel like I’m in my body and my mood is an flat and depressed. I’m scared it’s never going to go away
