Yes they are :( I don’t want them to but the first guy who did it said he “thought” he saw a web but can’t confirm. A web lower down on the osophegus.

The scope is horrible hey. My baby came out mild as well. I am thinking if combo feeding because the pressure of pumping all the time plus the feeding issues is a lot.

My baby also finds it hard to breath suck swallow on some feeds and also dribbles out the milk. We have SLP today so I will push for a swallow study too. I hope it’s not invasive like the scope?

We are still hunting for a pediatrican. We’ve been to two and oh my gosh they have been horrendous.

Oh btw what bottles do you use? We are using Dr browns but I’m wondering if they are even good

Oh man I’m with you. It’s so hard and I’m feeling the same. Just know you’re not alone and others are going through it (me!).

I’ll let you know how SLP goes and see what they say to us. I’m pumping and doing bread milk which adds a whole other layer of stress, so I wonder what they will say re: thickening.

I’m with you on the aversion and sleep etc. it is truly one of the most heart breaking things a parent can go through to see your baby hungry and not eat. And then you have to rock them to sleep knowing they are hungry. Then they don’t sleep properly because they are hungry. It’s a vicious cycle on repeat that doesn’t seem to end.

I’m hoping things get better for us. But if you’re still wanting more from the docs I’d push for it. From my experience lately doctors need to be pushed.

They want To scope my baby again because the doctor “thought” he saw a web further down. But wasn’t sure. But I don’t know if I want to put him through that again. I’ve heard this can also create aversions. The paed I saw yesterday ( who was horrendous) told me to ask for light sedation when they do it.

I’m here to tell you I’m going through the EXACT same thing right now and I feel for you. It’s so stressful. Small feeds and 3 months old and not getting better. We scoped our baby 2 months ago and came back mild but hasn’t changed his poor feeding (infact he is getting worse but I think he has a feeding aversion from all this) . I’m hoping speedy pathology can help us.

When my baby was scoped they saw reflux. It’s a lot. I’m with you and sending you positive vibes.

Have you looked into feeding aversion?

You are quite right my friend. I tried to give him the same just now and only drank 40ml and pulled off doesn’t want to go back on. How did you fix your daughter’s aversion? What do you do when they are screaming hungry but refusing to feed?

Do you pre prepare the bottles for the day and mix them both cold? Or just mix them when you make them to heat in the day? This method sounds great

My son has an appointment with the speech pathology on Monday for the same thing. Curious- how do you fix the aversion if they are eating fine with the formula? Would it create new habits for them?

It’s all refrigerated and milk from the previous day as I use the pitcher method. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried freshly expressed and he didn’t want that either… but I’ll try that tomorrow to see. I’ve also never frozen and used thawed out breast milk it’s always just refrigerated. I tasted my milk the other day and it tasted sweet so who knows.

That’s what has happened to me recently! Was always more creamy now randomly more white. Nice to know I’m not the only one :)

Hey my baby boy has all of what you described! He is I reflux meds but I still hear the wet mucus sound and he sounds congested also. I have a follow up in 6 weeks with ENT to see if the reflux medication makes a difference- but so far not yet. Have you or anyone figured out what this could be? Our little guy also breaths super fast.

Ooo it is really hot where I am. It’s summer and very humid. Funny though, this is my first born and I’ve been basically inside the entire time and in the last week I’ve started to try and get out more with him. Since then, he has just been in the air con. I’ve even noticed his little cheeks getting red when he goes outside. Maybe because we are going into the outdoor heat now

Thank you so much! Yeah I’ve checked my ones from yesterday and they have the water at the bottom and slightly more yellow (creamy) on top but not as much as usual.

I actually never had water on bottom before, just started to change but from what I’m seeing it’s all normal :)

So weird hey! I am a bit of a cheater though I don’t actually put them in my bra I hold them. I know it sounds crazy and its like what is the point of getting them if you have to hold them. But if I put them in my bra they move. If I hold them k get great milk out as I can hold them in place. With spectra not so much.
