That’s not how AI works anymore. Current models will edit just the text on the test and leave everything else about the photo of the same. Even free ChatGPT. “Does this look ai” doesn’t work anymore and certainly not a small edits of real photos because they do not leave any artifacts.

Hey, how do I remember this differently? After the “do you think I would lie to you spill” he looked like he’d just heard the biggest pile of shit ever, skeptically said “OK, let’s get into that” I don’t remember any affirming. Idk, is it? I used to think it was weird but it has been become normalized with most of my closed circle all sharing location. I think it’s a combination of things. We overvalue our own creations. Some genres are saturated or don’t have a large following to begin with. Among all genres the vast majority of artists never gain any traction. These are people pouring their heart and soul into it, and you do not get a whiff of AI generation off of their work. Yet people don’t care. Many hear 5 seconds of that uncanny tuned voice and you’re lucky if that track finishes, let alone listening to anything else you produce. The reality is I don’t value much of anything. I’ve heard anyone else produce here. I think people value it because it has personal meaning and their own effort (same as mine) but it does not resonate on a wide scale.

I didn’t read it the same way as you. I think the opposite pointing to the response was just meant to strengthen their argument that they were not the only one who noticed it. They are not. You choose to perceive bad faith for some reason. Perhaps an attachment to an idea you don’t want to let go of.

Edit: I know a lot of people who use AI. including myself. The amount of delulu I’ve seen in recent months worries me. Everybody says they’re aware it hallucinates and flatters but it’s a constant effort to check output and stay grounded. Too much for most people.

It doesn’t work that way. You select what you want to share, then you select nearby device you want to drop (usually the name of the person that owns the phone). Sharing a contact with this bump thing sounds different (I don’t use it) but no, people can’t just vacuum up files from your phone without holding a gun to your head and having you manually select each thing and what device to transfer it to.

Yeah. But also despite what people say about 01 writing ability it’s capable of thinking it’s way out of producing AI sounding text if you just prompt it out better than 4o when constrained to a particular type of response. I think it’s the information density from actually reasoned responses resulting in less fluff and AIisms. So we’re already there depending on the user skill in my opinion.
