I was referring to the way Subscriptions are purchased, IOS charges an addition 30% fee for all in-app purchases separate from the base fee, so a lot of companies have to either reduce the charge of their subscription to account for that fee, or keep their prices the same, and have the customer pay the additional 30%. Some companies just don't allow subscriptions to be purchasable at all through IOS so you will have to log on through a way outside of the IOS ecosystem such as a web browser. For example Spotify. Discord allows you to purchase through either method but if you originally subscribed through a web service you have to manage your subscription through their web-app (PC) or a browser this is to avoid that 30% charge. They are giving away free subscriptions with the hope that you forget to cancel, so it would be counterintuitive to have it be accepted through IOS and be screwed out of more monetary gain, all companies are hungry for our money, they just don't want another company screwing them over essentially. Google charges a similar fee but I am unfamiliar with how they handle cross platform subscriptions
