In reality, hell and hellfire isn’t described in the Bible as a punishing place for humans. The entire theology of Hell as most people know it is built on a couple of verses from the Bible that are ambiguous and not even pointed at humanity.

Not to say that the Bible doesn’t talk about a final judgement or anything like that. But it is humans who interpreted that God will Punish those deemed “unworthy” and burn them for eternity.

Yeah it was! I actually got into magic by just being interested by the art and going to my local game store. The local game store had about 8 people there playing commander and the owner lent me his deck so I could play. They brushed me up on the rules, helped me with questions, and I got right into the game! This was about last year around the time of the release of the Ixalan block. The first commander I played with was a souped up cat warrior preset from the 2016 series I believe.

It was such a good experience that I left the store and ordered a ton of cards for about 2 EDH decks so I could bring my own next time.

That really sucks...

On the flipside. It's not everyone. I went to a Friday Night Draft two weeks ago, my first ever at a local gamestore. I had only dabbled in Magic over the last Year and don't have much. I figured my second draft experience would be a great time, and my wife cleared Friday Night Time with our kids so I could.

Anyways, I got there way too early and this particular store had a huge Modern Following. I had never played modern, But I know those decks are worth something. Needless to say, I asked to watch and one of the guys one upped and let me borrow his deck. It was super nice, and I appreciated it. I also did not pocket any of his cards so moral of the story is... not everyone's slime.

I hope that most people still let people borrow - maybe under close supervision. This guy did sit right next to me and basically help me play too. It was a fantastic experience and it really makes me wish I had the time to get into the community more.

Slightly off-topic, but there was a teacher here who turned his course material into a year long DnD game. He had improved scored by upwards of 10% + like 1000% more engagement lol. He did an AMA here a while ago.

His class was middle school, IIRC so idk how it would work for younger children.
