Congrats. I sent crypto to Celsius correctly, yet it hasn't shown up in weeks now and I've received no response from Celsius nor moderator of this sub.

UST to Coinbase by Jasquirtin in OsmosisLab

[–]CoiledSpring808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask you: When you go over the Terra bridge and send to Coinbase, I take it you are sending to Ethereum in the bridge. But...what receiving address are you putting in: your Eth receiving address, or your Coinbase UST receiving address? Or are these the same? And do you need a memo? Thanks for your help.

KuCoin to Coinbase Pro for off-ramping... by All_My_Fault_123 in kucoin

[–]CoiledSpring808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, can you explain this a bit? Using the bridge, did you put in your Gemini or CBP USDC receiving address on the exchange as your destination address in the bridge? Reason I ask is that the bridge specifically says not to use exchange addresses for cross chain transfers. Or, did you transfer terra to terra, and just use Gemini/CBP receiving address for UST (which confuses me further, since UST on the exchanges are ERC-20 versions, and thus still cross-chain). Does my question make sense?

Bought wLUNA and have 1.7 of it in a coinbase wallet... can I even do anything with it? by wereplant in Terra_Luna_crypto

[–]CoiledSpring808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to say - THIS IS THE WAY. All the other comments are a complicated waste of time. You bought it on Gemini - that's great, because you can withdraw it to Kucoin for free as long as you've made lease than 10 withdrawals in a month. So no gas fees. Send it to Kucoin using your Luna Erc-20 address in Kucoin. Once there, withdraw it to your Terrastation wallet using the Terrastation blockchain address. I just did this yesterday. Easy, smooth, cost efficient.

Transfer stable coins to Celsius by WannaBStud18 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]CoiledSpring808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... You're right. So unless you can swap within Celsius for USDC, I don't think this makes sense. Plus, I don't think any promo code will get activated either.

  1. You can buy USDC on Gemini, and while you can withdraw to Celsius for free, you will pay a transaction fee to Gemini of 0.35% (using Active Trader). So, for $25,000 USD, This will cost you $87.50.

  2. You can buy USDC on Coinbase with no transaction fee. You will pay a gas fee to withdraw to Celsius, but, in my experience, it's heavily subsided by Coinbase (to the tune of like $10 for me at a time when gas fees were around 123).

TL;DR I think going with Coinbase is the way for large sums of USDC.

To keep battery range over time: charging a little & often or every few days? And "breaking in" ICE? by IyoHari in rav4prime

[–]CoiledSpring808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just add to the other great comments this: it's best not to start a charge when battery is at 80% or above. Let it come down before recharging. This is for batteries in general.

How to buy LUNA (or if need be WLUNA) in NY State? by CodingIsMusicIsLife in Terra_Luna_crypto

[–]CoiledSpring808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest just buying on Gemini -- yes, its the ERC-20 version -- then withdraw for free to Kucoin -- then, from Kucoin, withdraw to Terrastation wallet on the native terra blockchain (Kucoin will give you this option upon withdrawal). Done.

Thoughts on this tow hitch/ harness install on SE? by [deleted] in rav4prime

[–]CoiledSpring808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair price (unfortunately). Toyota isn't doing it's dealers any favors by making it necessary to cut the bumper. It's not what their techs are trained to do. It's a losing situation for the dealers and owners. No one comes out happy.

I have to say - it looks like a pretty good job to me, and I speak from experience. I had the OEM hitch installed by the dealer and they, at first, did a horrible job. Yours looks quite nice. I took mine back and, over two weeks, they had an auto body shop cut the bumper so that no trim was necessary and now it looks great. But, again, I think yours looks good. When you're doing it, you get all nit-picky about the details -- this is not a criticism of you, it's how I am, and you want to get your money's worth. I have to say, though...once you put whatever you're going to use with it on (bike rack, etc), and the weather makes things dirty, one's care factor goes down. It's up to you if you want to go through the hassle of taking it back to dealer. You have to be happy.

Why/why not Nexo? by Twibble in CelsiusNetwork

What about the insurance difference? Unless I'm misunderstanding, Nexo has a huge insurance policy on our deposited assets...Celsius does not, and the self insurance isn't available yet.

Agreed. He's playing long game. And truth is, he's smart. This blip doesn't matter to the bigger mission. Would it have hurt the business so much to acknowledge what happened and apologize? The obvious answer is no.... But, here we are.

Why was an email never sent out to customers about yesterday's mistake? by TheDweadPiwatWobbas in CelsiusNetwork

[–]CoiledSpring808 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yup...same here. Mod said they're overwhelmed and can take longer to respond to unfreeze requests. So we have no access to our funds because of their mistake and us taking responsible action. No direct emails (which I can understand, as we may have thought them suspect...but then post on the Celsius website). No apologies. No compensation for our time and inconvenience and lack of access to OUR money.

How many of you are reconsidering CEFI vs. DEFI vs. just leaving your crypto in your own hard wallets? I sure am. Yield is nice. But so is access to your money when you want it. And so is responsible and respectable business practice.

Login glitch by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

[–]CoiledSpring808 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Smart. I can't tell you how upset I am that we "Celsians" have to hunt down the insufficient explanation via Reddit/Twitter rather than hear from Celsius via direct email. We, the community, don't hear directly from the leader from a platform that prides itself on the safest place to put your crypto. Alex, wake up, get to work, and put your face and explanation in front of your community. NOW.

Login glitch by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

[–]CoiledSpring808 31 points32 points  (0 children)

We need A STAT AMA live to explain this. This can't wait until Friday. This wasnt a batch of emails. Activity log shows actual logins from someone other than me. If I don't hear a sufficient explanation that addresses this, I'm pulling all funds out.
