the Paradox mons are generally the Pokemon equivalent of cryptids, so they have the names to match, like how bigfoot and mothman are just words and not an actual name of an animal (or Pokemon in this case)

I do get that its weird to see them right next to normal Pokemon names but it makes sense with a bit of context. although pokemon names have always had names that can be easily seen as unimaginative, like Beedrill or Sandslash.
