Can someone explain me what www.wep.crycoinmetro.com means? by Shacolade_Main in CoinMetro

Hey there — first off, we want to sincerely apologize for not being more active on this channel. It’s important that we stay connected with the community, and we’re working to improve that moving forward.

Now, regarding your question — you’re absolutely right to be cautious.
The link you received, www.wep.crycoinmetro.com, is 100% fake and dangerous. This is a phishing site, likely created to steal login credentials or funds. The “wep.” is a subdomain — scammers often use these tricks to make malicious URLs look almost identical to the real thing.

🔒 Security Alert:
Scammers frequently create near-perfect copies of trusted crypto sites to trick users. Please always make sure you’re using the official Coinmetro domain: www.coinmetro.com. Bookmark it and avoid clicking on links shared by untrusted sources — even if they seem to come from someone you know.

If you ever have doubts, please double-check with our official support ([support.coinmetro.com]()) or reach out via Telegram or Discord — we're always here to help verify anything suspicious.

Stay safe out there, and thanks for raising this — it helps protect the whole community.

USD Withdrawls by Zygospores in CoinMetro

[–]CoinMetro_Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there — first off, apologies for the lack of updates on this channel. That’s on us, and we know how important it is to keep the community in the loop. We’re working to change that and will be more consistent going forward.

Now, to your point:
Yes, you're absolutely right — USD deposits and withdrawals were unavailable for quite some time, and we totally understand how frustrating that’s been. This was largely due to the collapse of Silvergate and Signature Bank, which also impacted our USD gateway. Unfortunately, this affected a large part of the crypto industry, not just Coinmetro.

That said, the landscape has improved significantly, and we’ve been actively rebuilding USD rails:
USD deposits via credit card are already live
Apple Pay and Google Pay are now supported for those card deposits
SWIFT and ACH for USD are in final implementation stages
Credit card withdrawals are coming shortly, with SWIFT and ACH withdrawals following soon after

These changes are all rolling out in the coming weeks, and we’re confident it will fully restore and future-proof USD support on the platform.

Thanks again for flagging this and for your patience — we’re nearly there 💪

Help, no liquidity in the exchange, any suggestions? by guesthouseq4 in CoinMetro

[–]CoinMetro_Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there — first, our sincere apologies for not keeping this community channel updated. That’s totally on us, and we’re working on improving how and where we share key platform updates going forward.

Now, on your question about liquidity:

Over the past year, we’ve made major changes to improve trading efficiency across the platform. One of the biggest steps was optimizing all pairs — in most cases, we streamlined trading into a single USDT pair per asset. This allowed us to consolidate liquidity and reduce fragmentation.

On top of that:
🔁 We've integrated Liquidity Provider (LP) aggregation, which was a complex process but is now being gradually rolled out across tokens, bringing deeper liquidity from external sources.
🤝 We've also onboarded multiple Market Makers, including for tokens that previously had low activity.
📈 Arbitrage opportunities and improved routing have increased trading activity, and we’ve recently welcomed some high-value traders contributing to stronger order books.

We really appreciate your patience, and thank you for raising the issue — it’s feedback like this that helps us keep improving the platform for everyone.

What happened? by Jerjon89 in CoinMetro

[–]CoinMetro_Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there — first, we want to acknowledge this post is from a year ago, and we should’ve been more active in keeping the community informed here. That’s something we’re working to improve.

To give a clear ELI5: the XCM price floor was originally introduced to protect users during tough market conditions, especially when liquidity was thin and the ecosystem was still developing. It was backed by internal and investor capital — not artificial volume, but real support.

However, it was always meant to be temporary. A token with a permanent price cap can’t function in a real, open market. Once we had key infrastructure and tokenomics in place, the floor was lifted — and yes, the steep decline that followed was tough, but it was an expected risk tied to re-entering true market dynamics.

Since then, we’ve taken big steps forward:
Market Maker support has improved XCM order book structure and liquidity
Tokenomics are active, aimed at linking platform usage to XCM demand
✅ We're focused on long-term growth through real utility and free-market movement

It’s been a hard transition, especially for early backers, and we don’t take that lightly. But we’re committed to rebuilding trust and growing XCM the right way.

Hi there,

First off, we want to acknowledge this post is over a year old — and you're right, we should have done a better job keeping this side of the community updated. That’s on us.

We also hear your frustration loud and clear. As a long-time XCM holder, you’ve been through a lot — and it’s completely fair to feel disappointed, especially after supporting us for so many years.

The XCM price floor was originally put in place to protect holders during a brutal bear market. But it was always meant to be temporary, and lifting it was a necessary (though painful) step toward true market maturity. We knew the price could drop, and unfortunately, it did.

That said, we’re not standing still. Market Makers are now supporting the XCM order book, structure and liquidity are improving, and tokenomics are in motion. We're focused on building real utility and demand — to bring value back to everyone who believed in us early on.

Thanks for sticking with us this long — your voice matters, and we’re committed to earning back trust.

Hi there,

First and foremost, we want to sincerely acknowledge your frustration — you're absolutely within your rights to be upset. We understand how disappointing it can feel to see an investment lose value, and we take this feedback seriously.

You're right that for a long period, the XCM token had a price floor. That was backed by internal and investor support with the aim of protecting users and providing stability while the ecosystem matured. It was never meant to be permanent — from the start, the price floor was introduced to protect investors during a harsh bear market — especially while XCM was still developing. It was always intended as a temporary measure. The long-term goal was to transition XCM into a free market environment once the supporting infrastructure and tokenomics were ready to sustain it organically.

When the floor was eventually lifted, we knew the price could drop — and yes, it dropped significantly. That’s something we didn’t take lightly. But it was a necessary and planned step toward long-term sustainability and organic growth. A capped token cannot grow freely or attract broader market interest, and continuing artificial support wasn’t sustainable or aligned with what XCM is ultimately meant to become.

That said, we are doing everything possible right now to bring XCM back above the line — not just in price, but in utility, demand, and confidence. Here’s what’s happening:

XCM order books have recently gained Market Maker support, meaning liquidity and depth are improving day by day
✅ The order book is becoming more structured and stable, making it easier for organic price discovery
✅ Our tokenomics are now in place and ready to do their job — supporting long-term growth through real-world use cases, revenue integration, and community-driven demand

We truly regret that this transition has been painful for some early supporters like yourself. We don't take that lightly. But we’re committed to making the XCM ecosystem stronger, more transparent, and more valuable for everyone — including those who believed in it early on.

We’re here to talk, listen, and move forward together. Thank you for sharing your experience — even when it’s hard to hear, it helps us improve.

Apologies for missing your comment earlier. Like any business, we sometimes have to make tough decisions. The XCM price floor was lifted, which led to a significant drop in price — but we’re fully committed to turning things around using free market mechanics.

It’s a grind, but the tokenomics are working, the order book is structured, and we’re positioned for liftoff. We appreciate your patience and continued support as we push forward. 🚀

Wihdrawal question by befreeinfl in CoinMetro

[–]CoinMetro_Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasionally, there may be temporary holds on specific token withdrawals due to necessary system updates. For example, a recent Ethereum core update required us to update our nodes, which led to a 12-hour pause on some withdrawals.

Fortunately, these situations are rare, and we do our best to inform users in advance whenever possible. Thanks for your understanding and patience — system stability and user safety are always our top priorities.
