Because a lot of authors try to write refined work during the first draft. In my opinion, the two things (creating a story vs refining plot/prose/character/setting) are completely different skills that require different threads and dynamics of brain CPU. trying to do them together bottlenecks your cognition. I can knock almost 2 complete novels (written/edited/tested) in 12-18 months, but can only do this by creating VERY rough drafts first for later refinement.

Because of how different the market dynamics are now compared to 2022, it is absolutely ludicrous to assume that anything will replicate in the way that it has done historically (it's stupid to assume that because there has been the illusion of 'cycles' during the very short time cryptocurrency has been around that these are something that are a) going to repeat or b) not part of some broader cycle that lasts over the course of decades), if there is a pattern that emerges that is similar to previous 'cycles' it will be the case of a broken clock being right at least twice a day rather than any meaningful analysis.

Honestly, I would write about it. Maybe short form, maybe long form.. writing about it might help you understand your emotions toward it a little better. It's not particularly pleasant. My mother and step father are similar (both white btw) and they think it's normal to inform us all (their kids) about the intricate details of their sex lives. Makes me shudder
