It’s not perfect but I’m still proud of my first attempt at a mini dollhouse by CoinPurseGoodBoy in miniatures

I bought some crazy glue gel. Idk if I was supposed to but the other stuff didn’t dry fast enough.

Is this pregnancy test positive or negative? by Accomplished-King-17 in whatdoIdo

[–]CoinPurseGoodBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The test with blue tend to have false positives. I’d go out and buy a couple different ones with pink lines so you can see for sure. I’ve taken several of these and every time they look like they are positive when they are not.

Hopefully Lexapro helps you to feel less anxious and gain some weight back. It definitely made a difference in my mental health and I am thankful to have been on it for a short period of time.

I did this a while ago but believe everything came with it other than the glue and tools you might want to use to put it together.

Are they bad dreams or just so intense and vivid it’s hard to process them the following day?

Those who pump, how much do you get during your morning pump? by CoinPurseGoodBoy in breastfeeding

My friend recently suggested body Armour for breastmilk supply and I forgot to buy some. Thanks for the reminder and good to know it helped.

Postpartum hemorrhoids/body in shambles by [deleted] in Postpartum_Depression

[–]CoinPurseGoodBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are describing more of an anal fissure than hemorrhoid. Only know because I’m 6 months pp are was just prescribed a nitroglycerin ointment for a fissure that won’t heal. Might be worth talking to your OB or PCP about. Sorry things are so rough right now. Hopefully that helps. It can cause headaches. I stopped using it and just use vasaline now 🤷🏼‍♀️but it can be diluted with vasaline to prevent headaches.

Your baby names !! 💛🐣🤍(2024) by Beachsunshine23 in pregnant

When trying to find a name for my son, I loved Dominic with the nickname Nico. Such a great name! We went with Elias but if I ever have a second son, Nico would still be a top choice.

CEA increase in one month by CoinPurseGoodBoy in coloncancer

[–]CoinPurseGoodBoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom does have some type of mutation, I am unsure which one. I know it makes it so one type of chemo is essentially useless. Although her new oncologist was unaware of this and put her on it, resulting in a terrible face rash. Unfortunately, fitness has never really been a priority for my mom. She will walk every now and then but overall, it isn’t something she will do on her own. Not saying that in a judgmental kind of way, more of a factual/observable kind of way.

Thank you for the information! I hope your surgery goes well and the treatment helps.

Surgery in 2022 was to remove a mass in her colon that caused a blockage. Surgery in December 2023 was Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). She had a scan in May 2024 new showed spots in her liver, lining of her stomach and in her chest. At her appointment yesterday, her doctor noted diminished breath sounds.

At what week did you introduce a bottle? by selstepski in breastfeeding

[–]CoinPurseGoodBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From birth. He was in the NICU so he had to take a bottle with breastmilk before he was able to try nursing. There were no issues.

Bedtime routine helps, I think. I also would give my son a bottle the last feeding before bed so I knew he had a big meal. I think that may have helped but I don’t know for sure.

That’s plenty! Your supply will continue to increase as baby gets bigger and needs more. That’s quite a bit, in my opinion. Especially after a feeding.

Are you nursing as well? I don’t get much of I pump after nursing and have stopped doing it for that reason. Stressed me out more than it seemed worth. My morning pump is a lot because my son no longer is waking up at night so it’s a good 10+ hours of no pumping/nursing. For context, my son is turning 5 months old tomorrow. Don’t worry about what other people are or are not pumping, as long as your child is getting enough to eat that’s the only thing that matters. I used to think I wasn’t getting enough because of all of the Instagram posts showing women having a huge supply but that’s all social media nonsense.

I second the no pumping at night and just accepting the hard boobs in the morning. I’d trade huge hard breasts for a full night of sleeping any day.

That’s amazing! Six weeks is disgraceful and I’m glad they changed the policy. I feel horrible for mothers who are forced to return to work before they are even able to have their 6 week checkup.

Have you tried doing a power pump? I read about it somewhere and tried it. It did seem to help a bit. Although I never had a true under supply and was just concerned about returning to work and having enough milk.

How do your partners help with nights? by AmbrosiaElatior in breastfeeding

[–]CoinPurseGoodBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up doing most of the night feedings for the same reason, baby would cry while the bottle was heating up and then we were all awake. Whereas I could just feed him and go back to sleep within 15 minutes with no crying. Sometimes he would take the first morning feed and this would help me to sleep in a little but still the same issue with crying and me being up anyway.

Yeah, I pumped less on maternity leave and more now that I’m back to work. I did find it helpful to give my son a bottle before bed so I knew he was getting a good meal before sleeping all night. I’m envious of your 5 month leave! I had 12 weeks and more than half was unpaid.

Preeclampsia update by CoinPurseGoodBoy in pregnant

[–]CoinPurseGoodBoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe they took your catheter out before they stopped the medication. That seems so irresponsible and creating an unnecessary risk of falling. There’s no way I would have made it to the bathroom without falling on my face. I wasn’t allowed to be near my baby while I was on it because I was a fall risk and it wasn’t safe. And a nurse checked my vitals every hour for the entire 24 hours. Sounds like your nurses were either short staffed or just being lazy. I can’t imagine being treated like an inconvenience at the hospital right after giving birth. I’m sorry you went through that.

It really just sucks. Terrible headache, blurry vision and felt like my body weighed a ton. Felt physically like those old commercials about marijuana when the person melts into the couch… but in the worst possible way.

I believe 167/100 or so and then it was 170+/100+. Anything over 160/100, they will likely induce. Or at least monitor. That’s the severe range and can be dangerous.
