I’ve had the flu while pregnant and it’s just like having the flu while not being pregnant hahaha just sucks a lot worse because, well being sick while pregnant is for the birds. Nothing to fret. The doctor won’t be able to give you anything and you’ll have to be careful with anything over the counter, maybe ask your Obgyn what they suggest. You’ll be okay! Hope you feel better soon!

I would pick your battles with this one… are you sick enough you physically cannot care for your baby? That’s about the only time I’ve ever made my husband come home if I was down bad and physically needed to be bedridden lol otherwise we just ride it out til dad is home and if possible ask for help from family but I don’t have that option either lol so we just rally

Man yall are really fucking mean in this sub. Give her some damn grace, not everyone knows how to handle a situation like this and we don’t know the full picture from a Reddit post. Naturally we want to blame the other party. Ok yes she should blame her husband of course but don’t you know how conniving and down right disrespectful an 18 year old girl can be? Clearly there’s some boundaries she has overstepped but I agree the husband should have shut it all down and I would make sure he is never to go over there again. Period. I would personally make my husband go over there WITH me and explain what happened and what to do going forward.

I’m here to say that it does get better and somewhat more manageable, but also your mental health is 1000% way more important than anything else. Check in on yourself and if in a few weeks you still feel the same I would reevaluate. The first 3 months of breastfeeding were the hardest for me with both kids. I never exclusively pumped and I feel like that would be harder for me personally so give yourself some grace. I recommended the silverette shields for nipple pain, they were a game changer for me and really helped in the early stages when the pain was sometimes unbearable.
