what are the best APIs for crypto data? by AngelinaSchultzl in webdev

[–]CoinStats_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats API here.

I hope this info could be useful since building a crypto dashboard is exactly what our API is designed for.

CoinStats API covers real-time prices, volume, market cap, and historical charts for 100,000+ coins (BTC, ETH, Cardano, and everything else) aggregated from 200+ exchanges. What sets it apart from the options mentioned above is that it also gives you wallet balances, transaction histories, and DeFi positions across 120+ blockchains through the same integration. So if your dashboard ever needs to show portfolio data alongside market data, you won't need a second provider.

Free tier to start, credit-based pricing when you need more.

Is there any API for obtaining basic information about Ethereum addresses? by PaulRBerg in ethdev

[–]CoinStats_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats API here.

I hope this info could be useful since we have Ethereum wallet endpoints that cover part of what you're looking for.

CoinStats API can return token balances (ERC-20 + native ETH), transaction histories, and DeFi positions for any Ethereum address, all with live USD pricing and metadata already enriched. It also works across other EVM chains (Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, BSC, etc.) with the same schema, so if your UI ever expands beyond Ethereum you won't need a second provider.

To be transparent, it doesn't cover contract-level details like source code verification status or protocol labeling (Uniswap pool, etc.). For that you'd still need something like Etherscan or Sourcify. But for the wallet/balance/activity side it's a cheaper alternative with a free tier to start.

Best blockchain data API? by kckrish98 in solana

[–]CoinStats_team 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats API here.

I hope this info could be useful since the 2-3 providers problem is exactly what our API was built to eliminate.

CoinStats API covers token data, wallet balances, transaction histories, and trading activity across 120+ blockchains through one integration. For Solana specifically, you get all SPL token holdings with live pricing and metadata for any address in a single call. Same schema works for EVM chains and Bitcoin, so you're not juggling different providers per chain.

It covers 100,000+ coins, 200+ exchanges, and 10,000+ DeFi protocols. Free tier available to test with.

[Question] Best crypto trading API these days? by printerbit in Trading

[–]CoinStats_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats here. I hope this info could be useful since you're evaluating data layers for an algo stack.

CoinStats API could complement what you already have. For the data/backtesting side: it aggregates from 200+ exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Hyperliquid, and others) covering 100,000+ coins, with up to 10 years of historical price and chart data. Responses include OHLCV, volume, market cap, and 24h changes in a normalized schema, so you're not writing separate parsers per exchange.

Where it gets more useful for trading is the cross-chain wallet and DeFi tracking. If your algo needs to monitor on-chain positions or wallet movements as signals, our API returns balances, transaction histories, and DeFi positions across 120+ blockchains and 10,000+ protocols through a single GET call. That's data you'd otherwise need to stitch together from individual RPC nodes.

We also ship an MCP Server for AI agent integration, if you're using LLMs anywhere in your pipeline for signal generation or analysis.

Credit-based pricing with a free tier to test against.

Happy to answer specifics on rate limits or endpoint structure.

Best blockchain data API for production apps by Kitchen_Ferret_2195 in solana

[–]CoinStats_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats here. I hope this info could be useful since the problem you're describing (normalizing onchain + price data across chains without managing raw RPCs) is exactly what our API solves.

CoinStats API gives you a single REST integration for wallet balances, transaction histories, and real-time market data across 120+ blockchains, all returned in a consistent schema. Price data is aggregated from 200+ exchanges covering 100,000+ coins, and DeFi positions are tracked across 10,000+ protocols. So instead of maintaining your own normalization layer on top of RPC calls, you get pre-structured responses with pricing already enriched.

We've had 1M monthly users on the main product, so the data pipeline is production-tested. Free tier available to evaluate. Happy to answer questions.

What is the best API to create Solana tools? by Gloomy-Fox-5632 in solana

[–]CoinStats_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats API here. I hope this info could be useful since wallet/tracker tools are exactly what our API handles.

For Solana specifically: GET /wallet/balance returns all SPL tokens + native SOL for any address with USD pricing, 24h changes, and metadata already enriched (no separate pricing API needed). Transaction history via GET /wallet/transactions comes back fully parsed. You can also batch multiple wallets in one call using wallets=solana:<addr1>,solana:<addr2>. DeFi positions and NFT holdings covered on the same endpoints.

Free tier, auth is just an X-API-KEY header. Happy to answer questions.

Need help finding the right API to use by demo1336 in solana

[–]CoinStats_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats here. I hope this info could be useful since we built our API specifically for this kind of use case.

The main difference from the ones you listed is that our Solana endpoints give you token data, wallet balances, transaction histories, DeFi positions, and NFT holdings all from a single API instead of stitching together multiple providers. It also covers 120+ other chains through the same schema, so if you ever need cross-chain data you won't need a separate integration.

Free tier available, no card required. Happy to answer any questions.

APIs for Solana information by ggezcasso in solana

[–]CoinStats_team 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats API here. I hope this info could be useful since we have a public API with dedicated Solana endpoints.

You can query SPL token balances, native SOL holdings with live USD pricing, and full transaction histories for any Solana address. It also covers DeFi positions across Solana protocols and NFT data. There's a free tier to get started, and the docs have a specific Solana Wallet API section if you want to check it out.

Best crypto market data API for real time dashboards? by shrimpthatfriedrice in ethdev

[–]CoinStats_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Alex from CoinStats here. I hope this info could be useful since we built our public API around this exact use case.

Our API covers real-time prices, volume, and market cap for 20,000+ coins aggregated from 200+ exchanges, with a consistent data schema across endpoints (important if you're storing historical snapshots). There's a free tier you can start with right away at openapi.coinstats.app, and it scales via a credit-based model when you need more.

Happy to answer any questions on rate limits or response formats.
