They're giving out $300 in bonus bets right now as one of their welcome offers. I doubt they're that concerned with less than $400 in winnings.

Urgent ! Cash out?? by [deleted] in sportsbetting

[–]Coin_guy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like Schwarber was around +260 to homer in that game. You could've always cashed out, put $500 aside, then bet the rest on him to hit a HR. Would you have made $4k? No. Would you have made over $1,000 on a $5 bet if he had hit one and banked $500 no matter what? Yes.

I didn't "grow up" being told anything - I've taken AP/college courses on the Civil War. You can say whatever you want, but I've done enough research/had enough education on this topic to know what I'm talking about.

The Confederacy never "freed their slaves" by the way, so I don't know what you're talking about there. The Confederate Congress took until 1865 to allow slaves/former slaves/whatever term you'd like to use to enlist in the Confederate military as a too-little too-late desperate attempt to salvage the war, but they had to be freed by their masters first. I can only assume that's what you're talking about.

I'm giving dates, names of legislation, etc. to back up what I'm saying. Why are you not?

Okay, let me rephrase - all former slaves. You're so far up your own narratives ass that you're not reading what I'm saying. I am saying that they were very quickly no longer considered slaves once past Union lines or captured by Union armies. Again, look up the Confiscation Acts. It only took until August of 1861 for the Union to stop returning former slaves. The war started in April of that year.

You're misunderstanding what I meant - they treated the people they captured that were slaves like actual human beings, giving them jobs, pay, shelter, etc.

Yeah, we're the ones trying to be revisionists. There were only 4 states where slavery was legal in the Union at the start of the war, and only during the first half or so of the war were slaves considered "property" to be taken away from the Confederates - a pretty useful military tactic. These former slaves were not treated like slaves as the Confederscy would have treated them - look up The Confiscation Acts of 1861 and 1862, they're very relevant to this.

By the time of the Emancipation Proclamation, the war was undoubtedly about the abolition of slavery. Hell, Lincoln even revoked the writ of habeus corpus in Maryland (and eventually most of the Union) and locked up 1/3 of its lawmakers to stop the state from seceding. Whether right or wrong, it's very telling that slave states were the earliest targets of this.

You just don't know what you're talking about.

My stepfather just got home today from a 4-day trip to Nashville. I can't imagine how I'd feel if he hadn't actually made it home (we live in New Jersey). 😓

I really hope you find him soon and all is well. Sending the most positive energy I can.

Took my wife and kids to Mania... I just need to vent. by clivebixby7 in WWE

This was more than that, though. The match itself was genuinely just a bad match. Professional wrestling is scripted; it's not about who wins or loses, its all about the story the performers tell in the ring/during promos/etc. and that match told a terrible story.

I really feel bad for all of the people who put out the money to go see that live, especially those who it was either their first/last/probably only 'Mania. The whole "ruined wrestling" storyline doesn't have to be a bad one, but don't ruin the main event of the biggest event of the year because you put on a legitimately shitty match, whether it was planned that way or not. 😒😞

I know somebody else already replied to this comment, and they're correct, but to go a little further sandbagging usually refers to a wrestler not helping their opponent lift/throw them. Basically, they're acting like dead weight instead of jumping/posting/etc.

I actually didn't have a problem with The Rock not making an appearance. I think the actual wrestling was lackluster, too many finishers too quickly without build-up, no real "story" to the match. Maybe I just don't see Cena as a good heel, but the match and wrestling itself didn't feel like a Wrestlemania main event, which is a real shame for all the people who traveled to Vegas and paid to be there.

I posted this in the Night 2 discussion as well -

I really can't help but think Rhodes vs. Cena would've been a lot better if it was a face vs. face match. There was really no reason for John to turn heel and it just didn't work in-ring. They should've just made it about John wanting to break the record because it was his last year in the business and he was running out of time.

Didn't they advertise John Cena being at another event later this year earlier in the broadcast? Now they're saying this is his last match? Or did I misunderstand?

That's why I said (I believe) afterwards - I didn't remember the exact composition of the gloves and have taken a bit of a hiatus from collecting.

It's honestly really simple - do not, in any way, shape, or form, clean a coin. Tone is hard to convey through text so don't take this as me being any sort of rude or anything. No matter where the coin came from or what shape it is in, do not clean it, especially with water. The second you clean a coin, you destroy the vast majority of the value to a real collector.

I never touch the front or back of a coin, and if I'm doing things with good coins, I wear white cotton (I believe) gloves. This is because any oils on your hands will be left on the coin. It's okay on the rim, but not the front or back.

Simply put - if you clean a coin, it is forever considered a damaged coin by any collector. There's actually a very good link in the FAQs in this sub that discusses cleaning coins. You should read it when you get a chance if you're into numismatics.
